Oscar-nominated British actor Pete Postlethwaite has died at the age of 64.
While we may all remember him as "that guy" from various films, I don't think anyone can forget his role as Kobayashi in the film The Usual Suspects.
He also starred in Age of Stupid, Muscle Men, In The Name of the Father and Brassed Off. He had supporting roles in just about every other film, but either way, he was always great.
They are saying he died peacefully following a long fight with cancer.
The guy was always one of my favorite actors. He worked hard and basically knocked every single role he did out of the park.

Pete Postlethwaite was always one of my favorites, ever since I saw James and the Giant Peach and he handed the kid one thousand long, slimy crocodile tongues.
Peter, if you want me to run your little camping trip, there are two conditions: first, I'm in charge, and when I'm not around, Dieter is. All you have to do is sign the checks, tell us we're doing a good job, and open your case of scotch when we have a good day. Second condition: my fee? You can keep it. All I want in return for my services is the right to hunt one of the tyrannosaurs. A male, a buck only. How and when is my business. Now if you don't like either of those conditions, you're on your own. So go ahead, set up base camp right here, or in a swamp, or in the middle of a Rex nest for all I care. But I've been on too many safaris with rich dentists to listen to any more suicidal ideas, OK?

Also, having not seen Brassed Off, I had no idea where the sample at the start of Tubthumping came from.
Well, that's one thing that song has going for it.
And when things became the most difficult, Draco's star shown more brightly for all of us who knew where to look.
And then I was like oh noooooooooooooo

He was a great actor and also he was who Terry Prachett envisioned Vimes looked like from the city watch.

Hahaha holy shit
I'd never seen that
Goddammit, I forgot about that.
Usual Suspects is definitely in my top 10 all time list, if not Top 5, so that's what I always think of first.
Same here.
It's quite fitting and/or eerie that (probably) his last role was that of the dying father in Inception.
and trundled off to the jungle
off she rode with a trumpety trump
trump trump trump
it would be if that was his last role
but he was in the town, so
