Good, halfway decent, or at least usable free registry cleaner for a Win 7 machine?

CCleaner - I use it a lot and it also gets rid of a bunch of useless crap on your computer

Reinstall Windows or just leave your registry alone; unless you've got busted file associations or something, you don't need to clean your registry.

CCleaner will do it and is fairly reputable. That said mr. Celchuuu is right in saying it won't get you much to clean out your registry.

This. So hard. You're more likely to do damage messing around in your registry than you are to do any real noticeable benefit.

Yeah, I'll rephrase it: you cannot fix anything in your registry unless you are fixing specific, rather obvious errors. Registry cleaners have only ever done two things:

    (1) Nothing.
    (2) Break computers.

Unless you want nothing to happen or you want your computer to break, don't run a registry cleaner.

Plus since Longhorn, Windows does a lot to maintain a clean registry without any intervention...
