Somebody just had a surprise birthday party for my brother, and they made him a Poke Ball birthday cake. It was regular birthday cake inside, coated in thick fondant that made it look exactly like half a poke ball. It was like biting into a big delicious candy corn. I'll put up pictures some time.
I haven't played a Pokemon since Red/Blue. I'm damn exited for this. I just wish I could start with all three elements so I wouldn't have to deal with the first fucking rock dungeon with nothing but a bunch of Normal elementals.
Hmm. I am going today or tomorrow for the shiny dog. Any suggestions on what to do with my extra set of them?
Yeah, I'm going to have extras as well.
So if there's anybody here who knows they won't be able to get one of their own, Speak Up!
I only need the one for myself, the other 2 or 3 are free to a good home.
I would have done this for Raikou but I completely zoned out on that one.
Dude you would be so awesome if you traded me one of the free ones. I just wanted it for the event in Black and white. This is the last one correct. i thought i would just trade it to black and white but i guess you have to have it in gen IV and go through the Pokeshifter or whatever to have it go to Black or White.
I'll be picking up an extra Entei or two if anyone has a Raikou to trade, I missed that one
I've got an extra Raikou but I don't really need the Entei. However, if you happen to have an extra Arceus I do need that one. I missed the North American Arceus event.

I preordered White just now. My campus just got a Gamestop, which is great because I can't leave campus from dawn to dusk on Tuesdays. But they gave me a bonus pokeymans and I haven't played a Pokemon game since Blue.
I can rent Diamond or Platinum from work. I need to figure out how to take advantage of this.

I'll be around all today for other trades and most of the week.
I dont know if I'll be going to get Suicune next time, I havent heard anything good about the event version.
EDIT: My list has been updated with reserves and Entei.
I am around whenever. Just PM me or post in here and I will fix my router to not have a password so I can get online. I just want any Jirachi for my collection.
edit: Awesome. Thanks for my new friends. Now I need to figure out where the spikey haired Pichu is. I tried looking at Jirachi's Pokedex entry but realized I don't have the national dex because I have yet to friggin beat Soul Silver.
I drove past a GameStop and got my Entei plus some extras
But there seems to be an overabundance of them.
Still, I'm here with 3 to give away if someone is not able to get one from somebody else

Hey guys I finally got my DS dongle, and wouldn't you know - it works!
FC is now in ze sig - anyone wants a battle or a trade sometime I'm game.
I finally got all 16 badges in Soul Silver and I was all excited about getting myself a Bulbasaur when Prof. Oak came a callin'
Turns out I won't get one until I beat Red, "no problem" I thought. I just looked on Bulbapedia and he's got al lvl 80+ pokemon. 80?! I've basically beaten the game already and the highest level Pokemon I have is level 60 and that only because it's from a trade so it's gaining exp faster. I am seriously not looking forward to grinding 30 levels on all my team members.
Why 80+? That's just silly

I would really like and entei. I am normally available from 4.30 pm CDT to about 10 pm CDT weekdays and then all day weekends.
You can beat Red with lvl 60+ pokemon if you have a well-rounded team. Most of his pokes can be two-shotted with a powerful super effective hit and you should be able to survive one hit at full health. Ground (Pikachu), Water (Charizard), Fire (Venusaur), Electric (Blastoise, Lapras), Fighting (Snorlax, Lapras) are your main attacks. It might take a few tries - Red's no pushover - but he's definitely not unbeatable with lower lvl Pokemon. Good luck!
I'll try it at about lvl 65 then. the annoying thing is that in order to get to him you need Pokemon with Surf, Waterfall and Rock Climb (Rock Smash as well? I just went exploring through Mt. Silver but I don't remember if those paths were optional). It's a little annoying since your best team doesn't usually have empty move spots for crappy HMs. Maybe I'll train a Poliwhirl or something similar that can use them all.

another trick is abuse the hail that is involved in the fight. all of his pokemon except for lapras (which was the hardest part of the fight for me) take something like 12.5% of their health as damage from it
Looks like they are giving away Ash's Pikachu in the US from January 30th to February 13th at Toys 'R' US. Which makes me wonder why don't they just give em out to all retailers. Now have to drive out of my way to get this Pika Pika instead of walking to the gamestop near my house.
Speaking of Gamestop, I have four extra shiny dogs ( two of each of the ones that came out so far) and I have TWO things that I will trade them for.
1. The special event Wi-Fi Mew that happened in October. I missed it cause I was lazy to plug in my dongle.
2. A unique pokemon which you had fun times with. Must have played/leveled with it during your adventures on the game, doesn't necessarily have to be EV trained. (wouldn't want to steal all your hard work on em)
Feel free to ask questions on the second requirement.

This is a great idea, and a big part of me thinks we should start waxing nostalgic about Pokémon that have come and gone from our teams in the 4th gen as a sort of send-off before moving on to B/W and the 5th gen. Come on, I know you guys can't resist spilling a good story like this.
Went in at lunch and got myself and my son the 2nd shiny dog. I'm not sure how much I'll use mine but since I was already going out to get his I figured I might as well dual wield DSs. I have to say having a copy for each of us to trade and battle has been one of the most fun gaming experiences we've had - right up there with Castle Crashers!

I know you said 4th gen teams and whatnot there, but this talk about unique Pokemon you had fun times with reminded me of my experiences from the original generation.
The story begins in the distant past of 1998. Pokemon was establishing itself here in the United States for the first time with a media build up for the release of the Red and Blue versions. I was one of the many kids who had been eagerly waiting for the games, so much so that I got my hands on my very own Blue cartridge on the release night! I remember the intense excitement I felt as I held the box in my hand, tore the wrapping from it and began to peruse the Trainer's guide (manuals? What manuals? Red and Blue had trainer's handbooks thank you very much) in preparation for my epic journey. Though I could barely read the words due to the late hour, I was able to glean enough to pacify my anxiety for the excruciating trip back home.
We arrived back home and I rushed for my old brick-style, pea soup screen GameBoy. I turned the power the on to be met with that glorious old “ding!” sound, watching the opening, and began on my journey. I named my character after myself; the rival after a jerk at school I hated, then played for hours and hours. Bulbasaur seemed the proper choice – the first gym was rock, right? And hey, look at all these Pokemon I can capture! Pidgey, Rattata, Caterpie! My young self was determined to catch and use everything I saw, and so began a trend of catching and training absolutely everything that was available at that point.
It was as tedious as it sounds, and I restarted many times with this strategy before I decided to just focus on one small team. My very first attempt with the new focus failed miserably, but it was unique in a way that makes it highly memorable. I had chosen Charmander again, and caught a full team and was trying to level some of them relatively evenly. Then something happened I never expected. Rattata learned Hyper Fang and proceeded to become a destroyer of worlds. This Rattata single-handedly destroyed Team Rocket in Mt. Moon, then evolved and became ever stronger.
My Raticate, simply known as RATICATE, went on to wreck everyone's metaphorical shit. Gym Leaders, the Rival, Giovanni...none could stand before the might of Hyper Fang! Then came Pokemon Tower with the Silph Scope and suddenly there was something my Raticate could not just gnaw to death. Ghost-types were a barrier my young mind hadn't considered to be an issue, and that level 24 Charmeleon sure as hell wasn't going to suffice. Ah, but that's when I really discovered TMs and realized they could provide new moves that cover a Pokemon's weaknesses!
Unfortunately, the only TM I had that was worth a damn at the time was Water Gun. It sufficed to get RATICATE through Pokemon Tower and up to Rocket encounters at the top, which it totally destroyed. By that point the rat was approaching if not had already surpassed level 50 and I could have probably beaten the game using it. But something bugged me about the whole “one superpowered Pokemon” thing, and I decided that I should restart. I had gotten farther into the game than ever before thanks to my super powered Raticate, but it felt so wrong to me – there were so many other Pokemon to use! Why ignore them for one rat, even one that was impossibly strong?
I decided to restart Blue version once again and make a balanced team with my starter at the head. RATICATE disappeared forever, its career ended in its prime. But that plucky rat still lives on in my heart. I also have pretty fond memories of an Ariados in Heart Gold, but that's another story.

Nope, anything is fine. These are just giveaways since people here always help me with stuff.
Also got 2 extra Entei today, I'll add them to the list in a little bit when I get them from the mailman guy/person/whatever.
Cool, if you could save a Pichu for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Will you be available one evening this week?

No, WAY WAY too much talky drivel. All the stories revolve around making the hardest friendships you can and then jacking off over them.
