You forgot these steps. At least if you have D/P/P.
1) Go to the Jubilife TV station in Jubilife City.
2) Go to the 3rd floor.
3) Talk to the man in the lower room (he's on the left).
4) The first two words you tell him are "everyone" and "happy".
5) the second two words are "Wi-Fi" and "Connection".
6) This will then unlock the Mystery Gift feature on the main menu.
Or, if you've been to a local wireless event like GameStop, Mystery Gift is automatically unlocked, provided you've at least received the Pokédex in game.
Also, HG/SS and B/W have Mystery Gift open right off the bat.

Caught a Riolu in Safari Zone the other day with two 31 IVs so I decided to breed a Lucario... Unfortunately its a happiness evolution so I have to get that up before I can use it to breed.
Also I've noticed that I promised some pokemon to people a while ago and seem to have forgotten. If you are one of those people and still want them please let me know.
So I put my HG Pokewalker in my inner coat pocket and basically forgot about it. I get about 10,000 steps per day at school.
He has 9889 watts saved up. I'm wondering if I should empty the walker out, or if it will keep getting watts past 9999.
At least according to bulbapedia, 9999 is the max watts you can have at one time.
Yeah, I've maxed out the Pokéwalker before. You hit 9999 and then you stop collecting Watts. It'll transfer 9999 to your game, too - it's not like it keeps counting and just doesn't display.

I can offer Mew, Celebi, Regigigas (maybe), Latios, Darkrai and the shiny dogs. I've also got a handful of starters from different generations.
They don't need to be competitive ready, as I doubt anything I can offer is :P

I think my Diamond Dex has somewhere around 256 caught right now. I've got a bunch I need to move over from HG. And most of it will come down to a lot of leveling and evolving.

Woot! Beat the Elite Four and League Champion in Soul Silver. I have started many Pokemon games in my life but have never beaten the elite four.
I am now 3 gyms (Poison, Lightning, Psychic) into Kanto. I am sad because I haven't seen any new Pokes in the grass for me to catch. I think Muk is the only new one I've seen. When do I start seeing some Pikachus and stuff?
Also, I know I can get one starter from each region after beating Red on the top of some mountain. How hard will it be to trade for the other 2 starters from each region? Are they considered rare/legendary for the purposes of trading?

Starters aren't too tough to come by. I have at least on version of all of them. PM me if you want to trade for some starters. I might have to breed some...so I might not have them right away. But just ask anyone on these boards. Usually someone has what you are looking for.:)

I still have a ton to do in the safari zone (haven't done anything there) as well as alot of pokemon to catch in Johto and Kanto before I have stuff to trade. I have close to 100 caught/evolved in my pokedex right now and have seen close to 200. Still TONS to do.
I think I am just worried because I assume alot of people will transfer their 4th gen Pokes to Black/White which will decrease the supply of starters I can trade for in 4th. I mean I am getting Black/White when it comes out, so I guess I could continue to trade for starters and such when I'm in that game.
Honestly, unless you have two DS to poke transfer to B/W by yourself, it might be more convenient to hold off on trading until then. You can trade directly/with the GTS just as easy in 5th gen and you won't have to deal with migrating as many pokes. I would focus on getting all the legendaries or singles from your cart before you worry about things like starters, which are always plentiful.

We just bought two DSs a week or so ago. Crimson one with HeartGold for the wife, Cobalt one with SoulSilver for me. So the trading to B/W wont be a problem.
and yeah, I am focusing on Legendaries for the time being. Caught Lugia. Next up are the bird legendaries and the dog legendaries.
quick question, back when black and white was announce, there was talk about combat changes, can anyone say what really change in combat, and i thought i read that moves will not be forgotten and are stored in a menu that can be swiched in and out.
Am I the only one who would pay a lot of money for an all-Pokemon Super Smash Brothers game? A game based on those mechanics with like 30-40 Pokemon characters would be awesome. When I play SSB I almost always stick with the 'Mons anyway - Pikachu, Mewtwo, Lucario, Trainer, etc. A whole game like that would be effing sweet.
