An all Pokes SSB would be fun. Gotta have a chance to catch new pokes when in battle, though. Like you choose your area and random battle. NEW POKEMON APPEARS. You then have to use a special move to capture the guy and now you can use him. And gotta have at least a 'dex full of pokes present in the game.
I've always wanted a Pokemon game where trainer battles are more like a tactics game. With a hex board and movement spaces, all pokemon out at the same time, range for moves, etc. THAT would be awesome.
Woot! Beat the Elite Four and League Champion in Soul Silver. I have started many Pokemon games in my life but have never beaten the elite four.
I am now 3 gyms (Poison, Lightning, Psychic) into Kanto. I am sad because I haven't seen any new Pokes in the grass for me to catch. I think Muk is the only new one I've seen. When do I start seeing some Pikachus and stuff?
Also, I know I can get one starter from each region after beating Red on the top of some mountain. How hard will it be to trade for the other 2 starters from each region? Are they considered rare/legendary for the purposes of trading?
I have a fuck ton of Pikachus from the Yellow Forest. Let me know if you want one.

I'm pretty pumped for Black/White. This will be my first serious attempt at a Pokemon game, and I've been around since Blue and Red came out.
Question though. I have a DSi and will have a 3DS when it's launched. If I want to catch every 'mon then what other software do I need apart from a copy of Black or White?
Catch by yourself with no outside interference (besides trading from one of your games you caught one in to another) you're talking about four games.
With trading on the internets and the like? One game and a lot of patience. If you want to mix the two and get almost every single pokemon without trading then you need Platinum, one of either Heart Gold or Soul Silver and one copy of either Black and White.
quick question, back when black and white was announce, there was talk about combat changes, can anyone say what really change in combat, and i thought i read that moves will not be forgotten and are stored in a menu that can be swiched in and out.
The big things are Triple and Rotation Battles.
Triple is self explanatory--you have three on each side. The new thing though is range of effectiveness. For example, the farthest-left Pokémon on the opposite team can't touch the farthest-right on your team, unless there's a specific move or Ability that cancels this out.
Rotation--you have three on each side, but they're on a rotating platform. Your lead is in front while the other two are behind. You or your opponent can shift the platform to avoid each others' attacks, depending on your strategy.
Other than that, they tweaked the accuracy and power of certain moves.
It sounds like you're thinking of TMs. TMs in the previous games were one-use-only and taught a specific move. There are over ninety TMs that do this. In B/W, you can now use them as many times as you want.

TMs are no longer one time use? That is very awesome, and sounds very abuseable.

Nah. It. Cuts down on breeding chains and allows them to make different TMs between various remakes though
and i heard the tm's are harder to find, so you most likely can't buy something like fire blast and hyper beam at the department store.

It still makes creates the possibility of being able to move/gear out your current team for a gym without any worry of seriously screwing up your movesets.
Need Ice for this gym? No need to train up some good Ice Pokes, just teach an ice TM to a couple of your team and then when done with the gym give them more appropriate TMs for their type. Its inherently abuseable. But if the TMs are clearly worse than what your Poke can learn on their own, then it will limit it somewhat.
Serebii.net here I come. I need to check out what TMs are in Black/White.

Eh, I'd be content with a proper Pokemon game on a console. Full, polygonal 3D world, full animations, the works. Pokemon XD was such a god damn cock tease.

I.E. no more "zomg Stealth Rock is required noob" crap from the Stop Having Fun segment.
But the abuse is defeated by the TMs mirroring the PP of their replacement -- that is, if you have 0 PP for a move, and replace it, the new move with have 0 PP left until you hit a Pokemon Center.
Still have the stupid HM stuff, but apparently it's nowhere near as annoying this time.
The combination of Charizard, Snorlax, Mewtwo, Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres really sells it. If that's not a 7-year old's Red/Blue Ultimate Team, then I don't know what is.
RE: Super Smash Bros. Pokemon
Definitely do want. The closest thing out there is the fanmade game, Type: Wild. But it's sprite-based and more of a Street Figher take. Pokemon moves and types lend themselves much more easily to the SSB style of 4-move gameplay.

Actually, I want to see a side-scrolling Pokémon game like was suggested in this month's Nintendo Power. Like Pokémon riding on Drill Dozer or something. This could be the new spin-off franchise.

Thanks for the offer and if I have a hard time finding one I'll hit you up. I was more just wondering why I haven't found any new Pokes in Kanto. Basically it had been a bit of a letdown so far. I expected to enter Kanto and new pokemon would just be jumping into my pack left and right. Not that way so far.
I'm sure I will find a Pikachu at some point. And I'm not hurting for an electric pokemon, my Ampharos has been a champ this whole game for me.
i can get you jirachi. If we can do a trade back with arceus that would be awesome. IF you have a spare spirittomb that would work if not and you cant give up the Regigias then cynaquil would work. Give me a time so we can meet
Either you're an insomniac or you live in a different timezone to me, haha. The weekend'll probably be best then - I can deliver on the Regigigas, Spiritomb and Cyndaquil; Spiritomb tanked Regi for me as it's immune to all it's moves :P Interestingly, all the Regis are weak to fighting.
E: Post here or message me if you want any nicknames or whatever.
I would like Spirittomb and a tradeback for arceus and shaymin. No nick names are needed and this weekend will work. Also i am in texas so it was like 9pm when i replied to you
Well, unless someone has a hacked Hall of Origin Arceus or has the first run of the Japanese D/P with the Surf glitch, you're kinda out of luck on that.

Should've picked Giratina the first time around.
I do have said Arceus.
I cannot get to Wi-fi sadly or I would gladly trade it.

Nope, and instead of fassying around in grass you play a mini-game to transfer instead. You'll need a second DS though, which might be a hassle for some.

that kind of shocking to me, but then agein the spells have such low pp that it really kind of hard to ues in longer battles like the elite 4.
Huge Power Azumarill with Double-Edge springs to mind. As does Toxic Orb/Facade Clefable.
Fire Blast is pretty useful because of its decent accuracy though.
I adores it
It's the final solution.
The only solution.

anyone want 'em
a desired trade would be any legendaries i don't have (so darkrai, shaymin, groudon, or deoxys)
another desired trade would be a hall of origin arceus to borrow so i can pick up giratina with his held item
whatever works
but seriously i'll take anything in trade for any of this so don't be turned off, if you want it just speak up
I'm assuming that you already used the event Arceus to get Palkia or Dialga, and you want to get the other usable Arceus to get your second legendary?
Dont have anything worthwhile besides a surfing (lol) pikachu, but I need an entei. Deleted my wonder card before picking it up in the game >.>
