I played Legends of Kesmai instead of UO when MMORPGs were still called MUDs, now maybe I'll get a chance to see for myself what all the cool kids were doing. Looking forward to tonight.
I played UO back when I was 13 years old. I'm now 26 years old. So that's basically half of my life ago.
I was too young back then, I didn't understand the game mechanics and I was playing on a 100mghz Pentium (with no number after the name).
I'm really looking forward to playing the game after all this time.
Figures that my computer dies on me this week and I'm going away on a snowboarding trip this weekend (not bemoaning my luck concerning this ). Talk about bad luck.
Damn thing won't even boot to disc. Gonna try replacing the hard drive and see if that does the trick.

Strangely enough, no PC I've ever owned has run UO as well as my ancient 500 mhz Compaq Presario sporting a Pentium III.

I vividly remember having 2 frames per seconds. And others were able to run around me in circles.
I only got a better computer in 2001 and by then I wasn't interested in UO anymore. But now after 6 years of WoW I'm ready for something different.

I had a Pentium 200 and my cousin who had Pentium 233 could run to town and back, then run circles around me and make it to town again before I would get there. It was unbelievable how much of a difference 33 mHz made back in those days.
I absolutely needed a horse to get around. Most people could run faster than me without a horse. It was frustrating, but it never stopped me from enjoying myself. Got me killed a lot though :P

He was probably MMX and you weren't. That's a lot more than only 33MHz.
Bah! Have to head out at 8pm EST, so I think at best I will be able to log in an create a character and hit the Inn... won't be back for like 10 hours... so frustrating!
Whoever I was grouped with not long ago, I'm sorry I don't remember your name (seizures and normal brain function don't go well together ). I had meant to offer you some stuff in return for your heals and such. Let me know what you'd like, I've a bunch of crafting stuff/some gold to make up for your mat usage.
So, on average, which is harder to skill up: a craft or magery? The reason I ask is because when I rolled my main character, I somehow glossed over the advanced option and rolled a Blacksmith. Which is fine, except instead of starting with BS and Magery @ 50 and working tinkering from 0, I have BS and Tinkering at 50, and will have to work magery from 0. Should I postpone working him for 7 days till I can delete and remake?

Can't spell 'you' without 'uo'.
It's coming! So am I! Naturally my buddy who might play is going bar-hopping tonight and my brother appears to be MIA.
Maybe I'll just roam the countryside, looking for portals or mayhem... I wonder which one I'll find. :P
seems to be up now, patch is available for download!
I'm a poor defenseless bard, BUT THE ENTIRE FOREST IS MY ALLY, NYAHAHAHA
I found it amusing that people were trying to gank as soon as they logged on. You know, with the guards still around? :P
EDIT: Aaaand I log back in dead. Awesome.
Sittin' at the Brit bank, macroing Eval Int.
You have no choice but to. EA removed the gump that allows you to change your city at start.

realize I can kill anything as long as there are two of them
realize that my inability to hurt things means that looting the one thing that dies without dying is hard
