Whats the big deal

So I was in a bestbuy the other day and I saw a Naruto box set that was "Uncut" whats the big deal. I've seen plenty of people on this message board complain and complain that localized anime blows. Is there really that big a difference? Am I totally missing out? I hear about how the top two offenders are Naruto and One Piece and that entire story lines are changed to accomodate American standards will someone tell me how true this is?

    It probably has to do with violence or language, or may simply have to do with comparisons to the broadcast version.

    As for your other question, you would probably get a much faster response in the debate & discourse Anime thread.
