The only thing I actively dislike about this game is that every time I put Jack in my squad everything goes smoothly until that one chaotic moment where everyone's low on health and her stupid bald head wanders into my crosshair while I'm trying to snipe down some bastard with a rocket launcher who's a hundred feet and two floors above me and then everything collapses into madness and failure.

Its like some kind of universal law of Fuckvolyu.

In insanity you really need the extra shield buffs that you can throw up when you need to nip out of cover.

Yeah this is my reasoning for using Geth Shield over Warp Ammo.

Also I'm working through legion's loyalty right now and dang if Bioware didn't do a good job making a machine emote.

I really want to get Legion

I have the mission, just want to complete the loyalty missions for everyone else first. Yet my heart yearns for a misunderstood robot on my squad.

My only gripe with this game is that Legion is so late in the game. Because he is the best party member by far.

It is worth it to do a play through where you go straight for Legion and then do all the other missions with them in your team. Some great dialog.

Also, Heavy Warp Ammo + Assassination Cloak + Widow = who needs the Cain?

    Don't judge me!

Although I'm very tempted to play through ME1 entirely just so Wrex can actually live

Gatsby, you really really should play the first. It'll seem unpolished and stuff compared to the second, but really, having the story and your shepard carry over from the first gives everything such a greater impact.

I have beaten ME1 14 or 15 times, going for my sixteenth time right now.

Just because I love it so much

Also I like the biotic powers in me1 more. They feel cooler.

seriously if you start mass effect 2 without a ME1 import its like in the first game you'd made all the douchebaggiest decisions

watching the scene between anderson and udina at the citadel where udina is andersons submissive bitch is so rewarding

Oh hey my brother has a copy of ME1, didn't know that. Okay, guess I've gonna have to give that a playthrough. But I really wanna finish up this current game seeing as I'm just on the brink of getting Legion, still I suppose it is worth it to try the first one. Makes sense, after all.

It is kick your ass hard your first playthrough. Even on Normal.

Every subsequent playthrough you are more powerful and it is more fun

Also, if you are playing it on the xbox, I can teach you a glitch so that you can equip any armor on any character regardless of race or armor training!

I usually do the first play through on casual, because ME's story and whole universe has got me pinned and I can't get enough of it. However that glitch sounds very, very tempting Swordfights.

In ME I'd be tempted to just what it on a low difficulty and breeze through the combats, enjoy the story.

On ME2 though I actually really enjoy the combat so I tend to put it on a much higher difficulty in order to set myself a challange. Soldier on Insanity is great, great fun.

Having just wrapped up my insanity run I'd definitely agree with that. ME2 combat is leagues better than 1.

I also want to try something better than Infiltrator. What's the best class for casual/normal on a quick run through for each game?

Infiltrator is fun for hacking. Although sometimes there's that one awkward moment when I hack a heavy mech then realise my squad killed everything else.

So we just kinda stand around.

    And wait.

Know what makes it worse? Leveling into AI Hack enough so that you give your hacked targets shields.

So I just gave that machine false hope in its survival, almost like a bully who gives a kid an ice cream then shoves him into the sand pit.

Yeah maybe I shouldn't get Legion just yet and give ME1 a whirl.

I really want to play a psychotic renegade adept in ME2, but for it to make sense, I should play through ME1 as a renegade psychotic adept and let it carry through.

But I don't want to play ME1 again.

Also, Vanguard is so awesome, but I heard that Charge is balls on anything above normal diff?

So far I've done Infiltrator on normal, engineer on hard and have two more missions before I finish up a vanguard.

Vanguard is freaking hard on insanity, you don't have any debuf powers so you need to rely on your allies powers a lot. I'd far prefer it on a lower difficulty, it'd be far more fun. Blasting into dudes is risky on insanity, but most definitely fun.

Engineer, it's eh, it's nice being a freaking tank, and it's nice playing on a harder difficulty because you at least have a debuff, but I'm not sure it it's genuinely fun. They're big exciting power is just extra health, not that exciting.

Infiltrator, I personally found the most fun (it may also be due to the difficulty). I mean you turn freaking invisible and get the most powerful gun in the game to shoot dudes in the head. How isn't that fun. To be honest I can't remember the other powers, because you get to turn invisible and snipe people in the head.

    I was a vanguard in me1

I am justifying being an infiltrator by saying they gave me so much tech that it's just ingrained into me, and now I can throw techfire and techhacktech things

I find Inflitrator with Reave to be the best for me. Most enemies on Hardcore have shields or armor, disruptor ammo handles the first and reave handles the second (as well as barrier).

Anyway the IFF mission kicked my ass because hurrgh a miilion husks. I did the Suicide Mission again. Holy fuck it is possible the best crafted endgame ever.
