So I noticed something very interesting last night as I was waiting for a bus.

There was a fence on my left, short and made of wrought iron I think. The snow beneath it was undisturbed, and on the other side of that fence, a clear, bright, hallogen light bulb (or whatever kind they use for parking lot lighting). It was white light.

The fence cast two separate shadows in the snow, right beside each other. One violet, one green. I've never seen that happen before. It was as if the shadow was split into its two component colors.

Nope. I did have an argument though. My cousin that I came out to started talking to me about how I should 'totally write a letter' to Ellen Degeneres telling her about how I'm generally struggling in life and trying to move into this transition. His motivation for telling me this is that he had just watched a show of hers where she gave away a bunch of money and a car to a woman who was having similar financial difficulties.

I am of the opinion that that would be pretty fucking obnoxious to write her for such a reason and told him so. He told me to stop being such a girl.

It was really pretty. And in the places where the colors overlapped, there was a proper shadow. Too bad I can't take a picture.

Don't you love it when you get on the back of a really long line and think your going to spend the last natural days of your life waiting in this line but then it turns out that the line is moving really quickly and your only waiting a few minutes?

That's right, you're to read that all in one lot without breathing. Breathing is for losers.

I think most people have a general notion of what Comunism is, but I've found that it is less so for Socialism. I myself am not too keen on the deep details of Socialism... I didn't really care about so much about political/economical mechanisms up untill recently.

I got my 16gb Zune HD for $170 on sale. And honestly, its the best MP3 player I've had since this:

    device-xenxtrabutton-2963.gif

I've gone through a few iPods and after having had enough dealing with iTunes, I switched to the ZuneHD.

It isn't a competitor for the iPod Touch. It does have a touch screen, but it has limited apps and whatnot. The apps that do come with it, such as a calculator and a few games are more than enough for me though. If I want to play games or do most of the other stuff the iPod Touch does, I'll just use a lap top.
That being said, it is a media device, and a good one at that. It is super easy to browse your collection, and the battery hasn't really died out on me after a days use (like the nano has on me so many times). It is small and thin enough to carry around in a pants or coat pocket, which I find useful because I have my entire portfolio on it for quick reference when I meet people.

I also like the Zune computer software much more than iTunes. Its pretty simple without all the bullshit. Plus the zunepass is a pretty awesome feature, though many other websites offer similar deals.

How many gigs do those things have? (Zunes)

EDIT: Never mind! 17 gigs isn't really enough for my casual playlist. Man, what the hell, though, my old, broke-ass Sony piece of shit has twenty gigs for just a little bit more than that and this was years ago. YEARS.

What the hell, technology? Are you getting worse or is the MAN fucking shit up again?

This is a Breaking News Update with your host, ND!

So, I've been really quiet about this over the past month and a half or so...some/none of you may remember me mentioning two "potential exciting things" awhile back, and this was one of them.

A little while ago, I applied to a game company where one of my SCAD-buddies works. I had an art test and some interviews...and it is now official:

In two weeks I will begin my employment at 38 Studios as an Assistant Artist!!

Hmmm. I wonder what my name should be. My new name. I know it's too early to think about it, but it's kind of fun to do so.

Maybe I should let somebody else name me? It seems like that would be appropriate.

I was thinking Alice. Or Elizabeth. Or Casey. Maybe I should go through a baby name book.

I'm actually losing weight now again, so today I am basically ecstatic. Thinking about how I'm going to come up with the money for all these surgeries gives me the chills though. And before I even do that, I have to speak to a therapist. I think I need to sort out a few more things.

I'm sorry I keep posting about this. I know you guys are sick of hearing about it. But it's exciting!
