When I saw MC go Carriers against Terran last night, I decided to try some Carriers myself. Maybe the guy I was playing just didn't know how to respond, but my Carriers were really mowing down his bio army while my Stalkers killed any Vikings he threw my way.
I ended up losing the match because I took my third at 6 o'clock (main at 9 o'clock) on Metalopolis. I didn't defend it and I lost that expo just as my natural was going dry, but the Carriers were pretty beastly up until I ran out of money and couldn't reinforce with any more Gateway units.

Can someone please link me to that Reddit Invitational PvZ match where a group of blink stalkers snipes all 3 bases and then is Mass Recall'd?
heres a tip: the skill cap of protoss is very low if you dont use sentries. you need to use sentries to be good at protoss
I do use sentries, and have lately been using them even more, but I use them almost purely for forcefields, and sometimes hallucination. In fact, I probably use hallucination more than GS, I can just never seem to remember it.
So I was playing on my friends silver account, and I discovered dark templars suck against terran... because the terran will always have like 8 scans saved up!
Anybody else notice things that just don't work in lower leagues?

Early game scouting tends to be a crapshoot in bronze/silver. Two assimilators and two gateways, but no cyber core? Why not? 3 supply depots but not productions buildings? Sure.
You still have to check for 6 pools and such things, but it's not like poking up the ramp and seeing a few marines means "he's going banshee/thor." It might just mean he has 3 marines.

Its true. The things that work at diamond don't necessarily work at gold and below. Pressuring zerg early? They're going roach rush so don't bother. Scouting the front? Doesn't tell you what they're doing necessarily
How do you respond to/prevent a protoss (or possibly zerg) player stealing both your geysers early game while playing as terran?
This happened last night while I was building my first rax at 12 food before I had walled in. I pumped out enough marines to (barely) counter my opponent's initial zealot pushes, while fast expanding, but I couldn't get enough marauders, tanks, and vikings to counter his (final) push with colossi, stalkers, zealots, and sentries.
Edit: Also, is this a common strategy? Before this week I hadn't played since beta.
I just don't know what to do against Z. I prepare for roaches? Oh hello giant swarm (~20) of zerglings. I hold it off? I scout a hatch finishing in his nat? Cool, time to counter and "put on pressure". Oh look 20 more swarmed in my base. He only built zerglings from that second hatch.

Not up though just finished testing. Somehow runs surprisingly well.
I will probably be streaming and casting the CSL Lite tonight, Seguer mentioned he won't be able to.
Like, PvP is awful...it's why I don't touch protoss.
TvT is okay, but still kind of painful with tanks.
ZvZ is just so dynamic and awesome...I love it!

and i just rallied my first gate to his base
and wept a single tear for him
