Is the new Zidane skin from the play at the beginning of IX?
And both Kain and Bartz's new skins are great. They look like up-rezzed versions of their 16-bit costumes. Similar to the new red-haired Warrior of Light.

What's this about Terra and Tidus being villains? I didn't see that in the trailer.
I think it's the new costume for Terra. Looks like what she wore when she was being forced to fight for the Empire.
And I'm not sure why someone might think Tidus' new costume looks evil. Maybe the black and red?
It's more that they're both standing on Garland's side in the standoff shots at the end of the trailer, and I'm pretty sure they mentioned Jecht is supposed to be a good guy this time around.

Urgh. You know, I'm not above enjoying fanservice, but there's something about Lightning's stripper-knight outfit that just offends me. Maybe it's because I've been playing Fire Emblem a lot lately, because in those games the women wear sensible armour instead of this bare-assed abomination.

Type-0/Agito is now equal shares spots with Versus XIII and Radiant Historia as my most wanted games. Hell yes to taking the FF8 style and making it even more military-ish and gritty. I hope they don't hold punches in the storytelling.

Yeah, Lightning's armor is just awful. One of the things I really liked about 13 was the world they created, and that world has no place for knight armor with fucking feathers hanging off of it. Do not try to put more one-winged angel crap in there. It doesn't belong.

I would consider getting a PSP if Sony would actually discount the damn thing ever. But as it stands, there are only a couple games I want for it and I'll be damned if I'm going to pay full price for only a couple games (and to be honest, other than maybe Kingdom Hearts I really don't even mind that much not playing the others).
Sad there was nothing on Dragon Quest X. Not even a totally ambiguous and uninformative logo.
You realise the entire event was done by a completely different department of the company, right? That's like expecting Blizzard to announce the next Call of Duty.
I actually just watched the Type-0 trailer. I'm really surprised how dark/violent it is.
But again, why is a setting like this wasted on a PSP title? I've said it before, but they need to give FF a single identity. Right now it's all over the damn place.
Maybe they're planning to make Type-0 its own series, eventually branching it off to consoles.

The ass thing just seems silly in such a practically-minded character.
Thing is, they made it pretty clear that they all got their magic and abilities from becoming l'Cie. Doing a prequel would just make the gameplay more dull, in that sense.
I honestly feel they need to not make the story a priority, and beef up the battle system to be as over-the-top and entertaining as possible.
Basically, and I know many of you will groan over it, make it like FFX-2. If insane plot points results in a more exciting game, than so much the better.

What about a prequel would make the game so much better than a sequel? Honestly was the backstory to FFXIII even that interesting?
Edit: And yeah, story hasn't really been one of Final Fantasy's strong points for quite awhile now. I'd rather have them focus on just making an awesome game and if the story is not fantastic, at least the game is still fun.
Edit 2: Final Fantasy 6 did have an awesome story though. It is an opera with an opera in it.
