6 years have passed since the Last War. While most citizens of the 5 Nations have settled into the peace and taken up profitable vocations alongside soldiers returning home from the war, Privateers employed by the Five Nations have not had such an easy time adjusting to a normal life. Taking whatever scavenged goods they could find from the battlefield, many have returned home to find the aftermath of war. Crops burned, cities destroyed, and villages ravaged.
While many hung up their swords and wands for good, others sold themselves back into the employ of the Five Nations taking whatever contracts they could land, attempting to make an honest work in an allied society.
Others, having been tools of the Nations for no price but betrayal, only want to strike out as far as they can out of the reach of authority. They run the coast in salvaged elemental craft - falling apart from disrepair but kept flying with baling wire and hasty rituals.
One such cargo ship, the Grim Sprite, is currently en-route to the Lhazzar Principalities hoping to salvage the remains of a galleon sunk off the coast of Piritar. Her crew, clad in brown coats and brandishing aged weapons, stands on the deck looking over the water. For them, there will be no retirement, no vocation, no devotion to the gods.
For them, they just want to keep flying.

This will be a PBP adventure starting at first level for 5 characters, set in Eberron and influenced by Firefly. If that doesn't hook you, I don't know what will.
