Wow...just went 0/8/11 as Caitlyn, never had a chance to use my ultimate the whole game.
We'd start a teamfight, and I'd have Yi and Card master just insta target me and there's not a god damn thing a Caitlyn can do about Yi...not a GOD DAMN THING!
Near the end before the loss, I was in base just killing creeps at the two towers, card guy ults in, lands on my trap and still stuns and kills me before I have a chance.
Was sad too since my friend was raping all game.
Caitlyn, the champ with two escape abilities that suck balls, whee!
I was gonna take the advice here and just go ranged carry and say 'fuck it', but when every other person on my team chose a ranged char (semi-exception was Dr. Mundo), my guilt hit and I switched to Mord.
Guy on the other team chose Twitch, and I almost facepalmed. Then, I got laned against him and Yi, with Trist on my side (Warwick mid). Oh god did I roflstomp that poor little rat, it wasn't even funny.
So anyways, the part I'd never seen before: 4 out of 5 of their team rage quit. The one guy left behind, a Kass who was owning the bottom lane 1v2 up to that point, got many sympathies from us as we polished off their base at under the 20-minute mark.
In chat afterwards he asked if we'd report his team, and I know at least a couple of us did so.
we were kind of sucking it up early and this pantheon was 4/0 but then we came back and he ended up 5/9 because of many poorly placed jumps. it turns out you can't jump in 4 low health players retreating.
Actually it's more like training for the real olympics then going to the elementary school sports day just to kick sand in the little children's faces.
Smurfing is for horrible people, it is like entering the special olympics after training for the real olypmics.
For one, despite their disabilities, a lot of special olympians are very good athletes.
For two, I see smurfing as a way to play characters you don't get to play in competitive games, to teach newer players, and to perform in a guiding role.
For example, when I smurf on Jungle Nunu, I generally try to capture dragon, and to find a ranged carry to assist. I'll BB them, slow their enemies, and help them get kills. I don't build Mejai's / Deathcap and one hit kill tanks with my ultimate or anything like that.
Free blitz week is the best week to smurf. I am a bad person
The only good reason to smurf is to play with level <10 friends. I can understand a smurf pair with gimmicky names like "Dental Plan/Lisa Needs Braces" "__ Bot/__ Bot," etc.

Yeah I know that, that is why I said real olympics(maybe that is offensive, not sure what else to call it), because for as skilled as they are they don't come close to olypmic records.
I mean you probably don't smurf like most people, I am sure most people just like wrecking n00bs. It is a horrible thing to do and ruins this genre even more, detracting even more people from it.

This. I like smurfing cause for one my champion selection is limited, for two I can do things in low level games I can't in normal games. Often silly things. Also I have some friends who are new to the game, though I wasn't playing with them today.
I mean you probably don't smurf like most people, I am sure most people just like wrecking n00bs. It is a horrible thing to do and ruins this genre even more, detracting even more people from it.
Yeah. I really hate fucked up games, on either side. Moreso the losing side of course, but the best games should be close enough they could have gone either way.
It is kind of funny to run into another smurf though. I was summoner level 2, first game vs. humans (was curious about the tutorial, which is pretty good), gave up first blood as Jungle Nunu to an Anivia who was waiting right there.

We won in the end though.
That is a pretty obnoxious strategy to do in low rank.
Earlier today in a ranked game we had a disconect at the start, of course they went straight for our jungle and took the blue.
I didn't mind playing with people who were obviously smurfing, except for when they got pissy because people were bad. If you don't like playing with team mates that suck, then maybe you shouldn't be smurfing.
On elo woes: One thing that helped me rise in ELO is just looking at what champions I was winning the most with. The ranked stats aren't just for E-peen, they can help you learn where your play can improve. Win a lot with Zilean? Use him as your ELO-grinding champion. Lose a lot with Shen? Maybe you need to work on map awareness.
Yes, you should build for the team comp when possible, but team comp isn't about filling in all the generalized roles. You'll hear lots of arguments at low ELOs about whether a character is a 'tank', but that kind of thing isn't as important as knowing what each character contributes to a teamfight. You don't need a Shen or a Rammus on every team, you just need enough beefiness to have a frontline that can chase beat up their squishies while soaking up some enemy cooldowns. Tanks in this game don't stand around waiting to get attacked, they use their beefiness to get in and hit the targets your squishies can't get close enough to hit.
Team comp is about visualizing how the lanes are going to go and visualizing how the teamfights are going to go. You have MF as an AD carry and they pick Xin and Malphite? You're going to need enough shields/CC to keep her from being turned into swiss cheese every fight, so Shen or Janna becomes a great pick. If your carry had been Tristana in that situation, you could pick a more aggressive character because Tristana's mobility and ultimate makes her great at avoiding melee characters. Did they counterpick your Kassadin with a Viegar? Recognize that their Viegar will be blowing up your Kassadin every fight and bring Zilean to save Kass from the burst and turn Viegar into a Q-spamming tard for 90 seconds.
I decide to jungle Trundle in a solo queue game. Yeah, I shouldn't be solo queuing, but I have just enough time for one game before I gotta go to work, so why not?
I insta-lock Trundle. Everyone else goes Trynd, Akali, Ashe, and Alistair. Enemy is WW (jungle), Sivir, Vlad, Zilean, and Udyr. Game starts and Akali and Trynd go bottom... That leaves Alistair in the solo lane.
I ask for help at blue just in case they attempt a gank, and only Ashe helps out. Helps out is more of an understatement considering she fucked up my entire game. The bitch stands there and auto attacks the lesser minions and leeches my EXP and nearly leeches my golem. I'm screaming at her to leave but she's all like "wut u tking bot? i dun undrsntd herp derp". I'm holding off my smite on the golem even though it's under 300 health just so he doesn't leech the EXP off of that. I eventually kill it, without using smite, just as Ashe leaves range and I have around 75 HP. So I have to sit at wolves while I heal up before I can start.
I ended up skipping red and going straight to mini golems after wraiths and backing. Then I go do red and wraiths and have to back again because the lizard had "leveled up" or whatever, so it wasn't easily killable. Especially lacking blue.
The Ashe made pretty bad decisions throughout the whole game. Vlad 2 kills early on and then the Akali and Trynd decide they weren't going to be outdone and they start to feed Vlad.
I ended up 5/4/2. Best k/d/a on our team. I feel bad for our Alistair, because he was the only other decent player. I never raged in a game before, but I was so pissed. How can you be level 30 and not realize you should not be leeching the jungler's EXP? Fuck, they made it so mid can't leech the wraith EXP in this recent patch. You would think it would be obvious...
I could usually clear jungle in about 3:50, and still manage to have a health pot spare, but now it usually takes me to the 4 minute mark and I need all 5.
Not a huge problem as I try to gank more than I jungle after my first jungle clear, but it's noticable
I played a jungle warwick starting with a sword and after a lvl 1 fight that cost me some health I arrived at golem slightly later(I go wraiths, wovles, golem) and slightly underhealth. I had to use my pot AND the fucker almost had me.
Oh, I should also mention that I was level 4 at the 7 minute mark. I should've been level 4 after clearing the jungle for the first time around the 4 minute mark. Which is about when I would clear the jungle for the first time.
I was almost always at least 1 level behind most players.
I've jungled enough to know that leeching a little EXP off the jungler can really set them back. That's why I was happy about the wraith patch.
level E first, then Q for one, it is much easier to hit people with your E during laning and makes it very easy to farm back minions with an autoattack + illumination + E on all of them
go R > E > Q > W
personally i go doran's ring + healthpot into sheen into CDR boots into deathcap into lich bane
Shield IS useless unless you have some actual AP behind it. Only good to help you against an early game ignite really.
You get catalyst and tear first? You pretty much have no AP whatsoever for a really long time, which will really impact on your ability to farm, which turns into less AP and gold for an even longer period of time.
Also, you have clarity when you are getting both a tear and a catalyst. Do you not have any MP5 runes?
neal is there any benefit to leveling q other than increased damage
does it get CDR with levels
yeah but only 1 by each level
i just like farming hard with her E and i think it does more damage with your combo - Q somebody, send an E flying if they get rooted, as the E is in the air you laser and as soon as you finish lasering blow up your E
If you level her singularity above all else, and get some AP early, then you can eat entire minion waves.
You can also clear the wraith patch by auto-attacking the blue wraith, then popping singularity while the auto attack is in the air. All the lesser wraiths will die and the big wraith immediately after when the auto attack lands. Just make sure you aren't stealing them if you have a jungler.
Just had a game, started with their vlad gone. I was jungle WW, I helped gank mid twice, started 5-1 by 25 minutes. I was doing pretty good, our Corki was 9/1. We were doing amazing, score was something like 26-11 by 30 minutes. Anyways their vlad came back at 10 or so minutes, he was horrible, we picked him off so easy. Trynd was a pretty easy kill too, he started like 1-4. Game went on to 45 minutes and we just couldn't fight as a team, Trynd wrecked us, ended 14-4 or so.
Was I suppose to gank even more? I had dragon control the whole time, got lots of good ganks. Just feels like we lost because two people on my team weren't outstanding team fighters. Even though they had a braindead vlad they made up for it with a super carry, that is how I feel at least.
I really can't take anything away from this game, felt like I learned nothing. I just can't catch a break, enemy finally gets a DC and we still lose.

All this talk of smurfing, I decided to load up my smurf and play a few games. 1st game as Blitz, and we have two people DC for at least 2-4 minutes each (one saying he needed to reboot), and I was trying out smartcasting Q. Didn't go so hot, and I had an extremely crappy build. I totally blanked on how to build him. Still, went 4/6/9 and overall did okay. Just...was lackluster.
Second game I decided to buy Panth and give him a shot - played him once or twice before and either sucked or did average. Well....totally didn't suck this time. 7/0/10 vs a Yi and Mundo, laning with an Alistar who was damn good. Mundo kept calling us assholes and pussies every time more than one of us found him alone and killed him "1v1, and then we'll see who's better!!"...yeah. Did a few clutch ultimates into a team fight, and burst down the squishies. He's super retarded and fun.

The uniques from Madred's Razors and Wriggle's Lantern stack, but I don't know why you'd build a second before finishing the Wriggle's first.

Most of the times i'll either be reckless as hell or do a crazy build which actually somehow works.
Noone expects attack damage Heimerdinger.
Edit: I take that back, just saw someone doing AS amumu on my smurf ... I was amazed.
someone explain to me

i run clarity flash
doran's ring and a health pot
first buy is boots of lucidity and some health pots, a couple wards if i have the cash
next buy is catalyst (i usually don't do anything with this for a while, use it for laning mainly)
then i try to do AA staff and deathcap, finishing a banshee's if the game goes that long
i level q first
then r > e > w > q
so...
is there anything terribly wrong with my setup
i feel like i try to be supporting- really i do. i'm a p good 1v1'er, but my shield feels really useless, even leveling it over my Q
last game i shielded myself (at level 10 or so) with maybe 100 life left... vlad Q'd me and that broke my shield and killed me
hm
I played a jungle warwick starting with a sword and after a lvl 1 fight that cost me some health I arrived at golem slightly later(I go wraiths, wovles, golem) and slightly underhealth. I had to use my pot AND the fucker almost had me.

maybe my total lack of AP is why i feel the need to spam spells
