Friends, I wanted to tell you that Objective game variants in Team Classic would feature DMR starts, not Assault Rifles, as Jeremiah had loudly proclaimed last week.
This weekend, for every game you complete in the Defiant Map Pack playlist you will have a chance to win an extra 7,000 credits from a Super Jackpot! You can win the Super Jackpot once a day, so you have the next 3 days to win up to 21,000 in extra credits. The Super Jackpot Weekend will end on Sunday at midnight (Pacific Standard Time). Super Jackpot rewards do not count against your daily credit limit.
In the May Matchmaking Update, some playlists will feature Double Jackpots including The Arena, Squad Slayer and Defiant Map Pack.
We're also making changes to the Jackpot weights for all playlists which will result in higher Jackpots on average.
And yeah, I have zero plans to play Team Classic when it comes back.

I have zero plans to play halo anymore. Seriously, until section 8 becomes unplayable or their servers become unplayable, it's going to be section 8 from now on.
Here's hopin'. Also, I just spent two hours trying to get that assist challenge. Since Reach launched, I don't think I've ever gotten an assist challenge.
It isn't possible for me to accurately express how much I wish there was a single person playlist that wasn't full of slayer. Every single objective game is just an excuse for publics to try and milk kd ratio. Why should I need more than a handful of people to play with to enjoy a race or objective?
The closest I have is going into rocket hog race with my two buds. I would kill for FFA style game with races/hammer & sword/king of the hill.

I enjoyed the 25 minutes I've played of Section 8, but its just too crazy busy for me. If I was playing with an entire team of people with headsets, I'd like it better but its just 16 people more or less working together.
Not that Halo pubs are much better, but atleast the games are small enough I know whats going on despite their idiocies.
I have sworn to never go into Objective playlists without a full team, because they require every player to pull their own weight, and if even one player is idle/betraying/jackin off in the corner, you're gonna get steamrolled (unless the other team also has players with similar, but then the whole experience is just sad).
Where is the Race playlist, Bungie? Give us races or give us... your usual excellent updates!

I was thinking about subscribing again and picking up a used copy of Reach, got that itch again.
How did the DLC turn out?
Noble was good all-round, Defiant was a bit iffy but worth it. It's good to hear from you, dude, what's happening?
Eh, I've been gaming a lot less, built me a new computer last year and I've been in RPG/strategy mode, mostly.
I've had some trouble with MP shooters on the PC though, I was raised on consoles pretty much so I can't get used to the KBAM setup.
In the end though what brings me back is that Halo-shaped hole in my heart that no other game can fill and fond memories of TBK curbstomps (and customs nights!).
Any weapon become far more effective against a warthog indoors. Kill fast and keep moving or you're toast. I really have a hard time hogging in Reach. They're just so vulnerable. You really have to pay close attention to the damage you take. Half a big team shooting you with dmr can smoke your hog in the time it takes to make a lap around a base.

we just spent an hour on that shit to find out it has to load a 5th set for it to count, you can't just beat 4 sets and have it end after that.
