... I overheard someone say there will be 16 players or more on the PC version, but it was unconfirmed.
IMHO that wouldn't even work, at least not with the current map sizes. Right now the sizes and the player count are just right, not too crowded but never really empty either.
Also, here's the full list of Stealth Enhance:
Stealth Enhance: Transition in and out of cloak faster
Stealth Enhance II/Upgrade I: No shadows cast when cloaked
Stealth Enhance III/Upgrade II: Reduced energy drain when cloaked
As well as Aim Enhance (Or what it's called)
Aim Enhance: Enhanced accuracy when using ironsights
Aim Enhance II/Upgrade I: Reduced scope sway from explosions
Aim Enhance III/Upgrade II: Improved mobility while using scopes/sights
The last one is extremely useful when spotting or planning ambushes. Here's waht really happened the last round I played on Skyline: I jump my way up onto the glasshouse, cloak and spot the entire match. I only killed one person. In the end, I had about 1200 points from spotting alone.
If anyone doesn't know how to spot: Just activate the binoculars and keep enemies inside the crosshair for a few seconds, after that their name and a red arrow will appear above their head, as well as an icon on their position on the minimap. It's just like spotting in BFBC2.
Edit: Protip: Spot in nanovision. It seems to be somewhat faster, and obviously you`ll also be able to spot cloaked enemies (really useful when a teammate's right around a corner, usually the enemy will try to sneak up to them only to get shot in the face without knowing what's going on)
You're thinking of some game that has destructible environments.
I destroyed many shacks and towers in Crysis. Not everything was destructible but a lot of stuff was.
Conversely (and this was my point), you will not be destroying anything in Crysis 2.
Destructible environment is what they should've improved in Crysis 2, afaik there isn't any real destructible stuff aside from cars that can be kicked.

I still remember that one fight in the first Crysis. At the little resort area toward's the beginning of the game. So much crap that could get blown up there, and there was that APC, that would tear the place up too if it wasn't taken out quickly.
It's disappointing that there won't be any awesome, action movie scenes like that in the second game.
Probably going to have to wait until this reaches bargain bin prices to pick it up, as a result. It just reeks of being a console port.

Taken out (aside from the cars).
And also, very funny: The guy I was watching tried to punch a very small tollbooth with flimsy walls and its doors over and over.
I like having the different buttons for suit functions.
They had that in the original Crysis. You just had to turn on suit shortcuts in the options.
From memory they were:
Double tap forward for speed mode
Double tap crouch for cloak
Double tab back for armour
Hold jump to enter strength mode and immediately perform a power jump
Hold melee to enter strength mode and immediately wreck someones shit
They were used a boatload in multi-player. Guys would double tap forward, sprint up to you like the Flash, and then hold melee when they got close to knock your teeth out.
Also don't care for the maps. Skyline would've been awesome if it was an entire series of rooftops, just doing crazy jumps across alleyways and running headlong off the edges.
Never gave it too much thought, but yeah, this was in the back of my head the entire time. When I was up there for the first time, staring at all these rooftops out there, and just wishing we could get to them. Even afterwards, I'd still occasionally stop and stare at them, you'd see helicopters do fly-overs and things on them, just seems like a waste. Instead of a couple of buildings, a city block of rooftops and buildings to play around in and on. That would have been spectacular.
It would also suit that +16 players, assuming there is support for more players. As others have said, the current numbers suit these levels fine, increasing the number of players in the same small spaces wouldn't really work out.

Sorry, consoles can't really fit more than one or two rooftops.

Okay, this here? Not funny. We've hammered this joke enough guys, quit it. Everyone knows you can do stuff like that on consoles. EASILY.

Not like that stopped Treyarch from increasing the player cap in COD BLOPS. 16 players could be nice to have as an option, but you just know that it's what the majority of servers would run.
Wait, there have been enough complaints about the controls/movement changes that someone felt compelled to make a 'mythbusters' video on youtube about Crysis 2? That's like making a "it doesn't suck as much as you think, I can scientifically prove it!" video.
That doesn't bode well for this game. Or are we already on the 'doooooooooooom' stage in this thread? I really haven't been following it since a bit after the thread started, busy busy.

Most people who've played it seem to agree that it's a shitty console port, that doesn't do justice to the original.
So I think we've hit, and passed the "dooooom!" stage, and have reached the "this shit needs to be redesigned" stage of griping.

I think "shitty console port" is a little harsh, don't you think? I mean, it has custom stuff like mouse control, text chat in game, and graphics settings.

Is that really any different than all the people complaining Crysis 1 is a bland and generic shooter and the people saying "nuh, uh, you're playing it wrong!" (For the record, I did very much like Crysis 1)

It was the multiplayer that tipped the balance; with sixteen super-powered Nanosuits battling it out, it makes for "some of the most exciting, angry and satisfying action you'll ever have."
The singleplayer impressed by sheer spectacle: "as you progress, streets rupture, buildings tilt and fall," and ploughing throught it all in the game's super-powered Nanosuit "is both massively empowering and intelligently balanced by the need to manage its energy levels."
Take it for what it is, first reviews are always positive *Cough Two Worlds II Cough*. The trend will either follow or not.

Crysis 1 is only as bland as the player who is playing it. Throwing a guy at another and then punching them on the ground, jumping from shack to shack dropping the roof in on dudes, setting barrels alight and throwing them at vehicles to watch them explode, throwing dudes off cliffs, strapping C4 to a wheel and ditching it before detonation, kamikaze runs in vehicles, throwing rocks to lure guards into ambushes, stealthily picking off patrols one by one, going in pistols blazing. God there is so much you can do.

Seems like it's the second review.
German PC Action Magzine also gave it a 9
pro:
Graphics and brilliant effects
Tactical gameplay due to nanosuit
Robust upgrade system
Challenging AI
Good control
Impressive scripted scenes/events
minus:
Not enough variation in gameplay
Story takes a while to get going
Some badly placed checkpoints
New York (where is my (open) jungle

Yeah, MW design seems to be that if you can't find an enemy in under 10 seconds, it's a bad map.

Consider that it's much harder to control general map flow without powerups. Using the architecture to force players together is about the only alternative left.

Wha... What? Sixteen player multiplayer is supposed to be impressive? Have we gone back in time or something? Because I remember playing a game that involved sixty-four goddamned people in high-powered armor suits, toting massive weapons, piloting vehicles, and fucking flying over and across massive maps with jetpacks... In 1999.

Fuck you, I play on Mount and Blade servers with up to 222 people. Nothing like watching 100 screaming men rush the walls of your castle while the 100 archers next to you fill the sky with arrows.

Off-topic real quick: Is M&B still played actively in multiplayer? Because that sounds like fun right there.

After a quick check, the top 10 populated servers right now have populations of: 137, 114, 102, 73, 67, 66, 63, 62, 62, and 53. And there were quite a few more servers besides. I don't know that anyone else on PA plays online since they're all too busy fapsturbating over the single player, but I play quite often. It was just uncommon for good servers to go over that because the strain would cause terrible lag.
