    if you change the .de in the title bar to .ca it should change it. I don't know about a long-term solution, though.

    The problem with Blogger though is that the url is the same as it always was, only the language is different

    You're getting redirected to the country-specific Google homepage for Germany (de = Deutschland). You can email Google at help@google.com to tell them that your IP address isn't in Germany. To turn off Google's country redirection in the meantime, do the following:

    Step 1) Go to http://www.google.com/ncr (the ncr stands for "no country redirect").
    Step 2) There is no step 2. Google remembers your preference on future visits.

    Check if this happens in a different browser/different computer. It could be that Blogger has set a cookie on your system containing language settings. If that works, just clear out any cookies from Google or Blogger.
