Also, so apparently TvC Roll is just crazy rushdown and chip damage? I suppose that makes the most sense.
They're basically character themes though. I'm just tired of her VH one. They used it in Puzzle Fighter and Gem Fighter, basically everything she's been in.
Hsien Ko is nice for this kind of game because her setup allows for a bunch of reality-warping and wacky powers. A decent pick from the Darkstalkers cast, especially since it seems they wanted to go all-female.
I guess. I mean I like Darkstalkers and I don't know that she'd be a top 10 pick for me from the cast.
Of course I'd also love to see Necro as dlc which likely makes me one of one person.
As much as I love the Darkstalkers cast, most of them are rehashes of movie/book monsters.
Frankenstein's monster, dracula, werewolf, mummy, creature from the black Lagoon, sasquatch, zombie (cat girl?). Not exactly original. I'm curious who the 10 Darkstalkers are that you prefer over her.
Hsien-ko seems super fresh in comparison. Perhaps because I'm unfamiliar with eastern culture, but her moveset and look is more interesting to me.
On the gameplay side of things, I always thought Jedah and Hsien-Ko had the most interesting playstyles, and seemed to be the best candidates for a VS game.
Side note: However, BB Hood will always be my favorite Darkstalker design, taking a flipped-take on a classic character.
I love the way that all of her weak attacks look like simple sneezes or hand waves and her heavy attacks are uzis and land mines.

Jedah is the top of my list. Donovan and Lord Raptor would be pretty cool in a vs game I think. The other 7 basically are code for anyone else. I do like Talbain quite a bit but idk how good he would fit a vs game.
Hsien-ko is based on the Chinese hopping vampires or whatever they are called. If you've ever fought Jiang-Shi in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, he's based on the same thing.
Edit: I'd imagine Talbain would fit in just about as well as Ruby Heart.
deadpool's teleport can randomly fail, right? I think most players won't want to take the risk
I read something about spamming causing it to malfunction, but yeah, I imagine that will keep him out of the "top tier" rotation when those things matter. Won't prevent every other online matchup from using him though!
How does proration work in this game? It doesn't seem like light attacks prorate your followups as badly as they do in other games.
It had better not prorate as badly, considering by hit 6 in SF4 your hits are down to half damage, while by hit 6 in an MvC2 combo, you've only barely gotten started.
It scales, yeah, but I've never gotten around to figuring out the actual formula.
What I like about this is that it seems like most of his attacks' alts are designed to psyche people out.
The charge projectile? Alt creates a laser attack all around him
Rockets? Alt grapples anyone trying to take advantage of the slow startup
Crystal? Alt creates an ice pillar that gets anyone trying to jump over
Volcano cancels into a combo if they're too close
Dive kick cancels into an overhead smash if he kicks too low
Hell, his launcher cancels into a projectile if he misses it.
