The issue with All You Can Eat will be the tank transitions, not the DPS really (with our gear/health we can pretty much take as long as we want to kill her.) But it won't take too much learnin' to get down, I wouldn't think.

So last night I decided to go Holy since I had gotten a decent amount of gear.
My trusty mage sidekick, Lalaith, and I qeued for a normal dungeon so I could practice.
Random LFD chooses Grim Batol for us.. which is pretty cool because I've never been.
Our tank is still wearing a lot of WOTLK gear..at 85 and has the 2nd lowest amount of HP in the party.
Our warrior DPS is constantly pulling aggro off him and I have to spam my healingest heals constantly.
We get to a mob that cast an orange shell around a player and stuns them. I get stunned and the tank explodes into a shower of gore. The warrior dps (Not the tank) leaves saying I was a fag for not healing the tank at all and for going 'afk' during a pull. Obviously a retard. Either way he gets immediately replaced by another dps. The instance winds up being hard as fuck to heal. I'm constantly having to drink and every time I get hit with a stun the tank explodes.

Some times you gotta show an little backbone to folks and tell them they can't handle it. Kick that tank. I'm all for showing some sympathy for those who need gear, but there are certain limitations still! He doesn't need stuff out of instances, he needs stuff from Hyjal from the sounds of it, which is very bad.
Kick him blind or be civil about it. I don't suggest suffering through it, although I think you don't need me to tell you that from the sounds of it.
Since Munkus values his precious "education" over getting purples, I need someone to partner with in 2s so I can at least get my weapon before abandoning PvP completely. Unless you want to PvP, in which case I am game to get your rating up and taste our sweet, nearly 2k CP cap.
Best classes would be warrior, rogue, warlock and shadow priest. Or feral druid until 4.0.6.
You're going to need roughly 2,000 resilience, as I think the system still goes by highest MMR for opponent searching. I hate to get all strict, but most teams at our rating be mostly in PvP gear. If your resilience is low, we'll just face a string of losses for a good couple hours until our MMR has tanked enough to fight either baddies or people that are also in terrible gear. That doesn't sound like fun, now does it?

I've wanted to do arenas for awhile now, but I think I only have 1300 resil? Granted I could probably buy a few more crafted blues and gem to hit it, but would that be good enough?
I currently felt the urge to break but pvp would keep me interested. My second spec has been pvp shadow hoping to do this. Let me know what you think.

Yeah that's prolly where the get some of the blues and gems thing comes in? I was trying to state I would hit the 2k but if it wasn't obvious.... I would hit the 2k
2s MMR doesn't affect 3s and 5s right? I would suggest we try a 3s team just to get you your points, but a Ret/Boom/Holydin doesn't sound FotMish enough to work +1550 rating.
Also does the CP cap from 2s only exist if you're getting CP from 2s matches, or can you cap out you 1950ish cap running 3s, but just more of them? Since wins from 3s won't scale up to the amount of wins from your 2s rating.

I actually want to pvp like long term, but if you only want points then I won't bother knocking up my resil real quick if someone can just help you finish it off
I'm not the best person to turn to for long-term PvP. I only do the occasional battleground or few arena matches. I mainly just prep my avatars for World PvP and to be able hold my ground in a fight. There are other games I find PvP more enjayable than WoW.
If Tol Barad and the latest season is proof of anything to come.
Your CP cap is a universal thing based on your highest rating (be it arena or BGs). I'll still have my old cap regardless of what we did in 3s, but my point gain will be lower (high rating = more points per win). It's a good way to gear up people without botching your CP gain from other teams.
I really just want to get my weapon for raiding, but if you want to do something long-term then the 2s will be a fine solution. But 3s would be a good way to gear up Sush without hurting the 2s. In fact, Ret/Shadow/Resto isn't a terrible combination if we're going to be in the dregs for a couple weeks.
I'm sure in the future there will be one, since some people only got all their meta-achievements tonight and will still need to run them in Heroic mode. When and who, that's up in the air. I say make a calender event for a day that you know people can make it to and remind them in gchat whenever you're online.
At the very least, I'll want to run them when I get to a respectable level/gear. They're the damn nicest looking air mounts so far, in my opinion, so I'd gladly do the work to organize them for people who want them for mains/alts/etc.
It helps that it's apparently facerollingly easy, from what Lede tells me. Good thing we only go to 85 this expansion to avoid stat inflation~
I think it's pretty well established that Ret is fairly awful at it's core right now, and that [strike]resilience[/strike] the patch(whenever that is) will fix it.
The patch...well I haven't played with it much. Just installed it this morning. It's probably my gear setup but I'm not seeing a HUGE damage increase (tm). I only did my basic rotation (no reforging whatsoever) but I do plan to try it out one more time tonight.
The main problem with Ret is that it is not only too random, but the mechanic of the talent, Divine Purpose, hurts the spec by making you waste Holy Power when it procs. So when you pop Zealotry for 3 HoPos per CS, if DP procs off a Judgement or Exorcism in between, it's wasted. Not only that but in PvP with our godawful Seals, you can either hit like a wet noodle, but stay in range of your target or hit decently (after a ramp up time based on autoattack speed) and forever get kited. Not to mention that our secondary ramp up measures can be dispelable (Zeal & Inq), so good fucking luck there unless you so happen to not be fighting a Mage, Priest, Shaman, Hunter, Warlock with Felhunter or Prot Warrior.
We'll see if 4.0.6 makes any difference to Ret after the real testing begins.
If no one is doing ICC10 achievements when Ash gets back and leveled/geared, I will try organizing them to get more people some drakes. With all the times I ran it back in Wrath, as well as going on the drake run, I think I'll be able to lead it with very few snags.
I'm hoping we get things back on track this week, as I'm starting to get bored of killing the same five bosses over and over. And I can't be the only one.
I really hate to deny the raid 280 valor points. Besides, you know, one-shotting these fuckers, the raid should be starting on time. This week, actual pulls didn't start until 9 or so? Invites should be going out at 8:20 and we can pick up people at 8:30 if they're rushing home from work to get on. But the raid should be mostly set and at the location by 8:30. We should be maybe ten minutes late at the most to allow for people to switch to alts if we need such.
And we need to one-shot bosses, for serious. I don't think it's too hard to have the first two of each instance down by roughly 9.
Well, it's hard when the composition of the group changes every raid. It takes time for new people to relearn stuff like magmaw larva wrangling.
ed: that's not to attack anybody, I'm just saying it is a thing that takes time. I am quite sure the group we had on friday could go back in and one shot magmawtron with minimal difficulty, but will we have that same raid group?

We had new tanks this week, new people for both instances, and Magmaw being a retard. I don't know if it's entirely unreasonable to have had some wipes.
Aside from Halfus and Magmaw, we did 2-shot both Omnitron and the twin dragons.

I have officially quit the guild. The reason why is Steve. I feel that these three PMs will adequately explain why. I love the beasts dearly and I would not think of playing the game otherwise, which is why I also uninstalled the game from my computer.
We haven't been friends for a while, so let me just make this official. I don't know why I thought you might actually have the decency to apologize to me for your behavior towards me, I guess I misjudged you once again.
During the hardest period of my life when I was getting the worst news that I could possibly hear, and was logging onto the game for the sole purpose of escaping the miserable hell that I was in, you did nothing but be a passive-aggressive jerk to me. You did not care about me or my problems in the slightest. You made it your mission to have a constant passive-aggressive attitude and to repeatedly throw snide comments my way. And for what? A perceived slight against you? Some perceived injustice?
I stood up for you Steve. When my best friend came to me and told me that you were driving people away, I stepped up for you. Every single solitary time that someone has came to me with problems about you, I've stuck up for you. Each time that your passive-aggressive bullshit made someone leave, I stood up for you. And I'm tired of that. I'm done with it. I may be quitting the game for other reasons, but staying away from you is a primary factor. Dealing with you and your attitude on a day-to-day basis was a chore. Dealing with your wild moodswings and your passive-aggressive disease was a chore. Trying to deal with all the friends you drove away was not only a chore, but it was painful.

Over the last year or so I too got tired of defending you to players who found you unbearable at times but were afraid of your position to protest their concerns. Examples were the way you treated other people as if they were there to serve you and use at your disposal. Especially those times were you were seem comically drunk or under heavy medication and not realizing the image you were displaying to them. I felt it difficult at times to even log on when I knowing that when I do I wouldn't get any pleasure from it.
Honestly though, I don't really know if I could say we were friends in the first place, felt more like I was just there for your entertainment. The only reason I stuck around was because everyone else was actually enjoyable to be around and didn't want to lose that.
The difference here is that I turned to substance abuse as a coping mechanism for the shitty hand that life dealt me. I act like a completely different person when I am 'drunk' than I do when I am not. You are always the same hateful, venomous person that deliberately tries to drag people down. I apologized when I wronged someone, and I tried to own up to my own mistakes. You got tired of defending me when I was 'drunk.' I am tired of defending you when you are yourself.
And I certainly counted you as a friend before, and confided in you as such. The fact that I actually stood up for you during that shitstorm you caused with Zeno should have made that apparent. The fact that I sought you out at PAX to hang out with should have made that apparent.
