Make us whole, but not in the sexy way - Dead Space 2 [NSFwusses]
But then a bunch of crazy shit happened involving these other jerks
ended up happening on a giant ass spaceship capable of cracking open a fucking planet.
I mean look at this shit:
So anyway all that crazy shit happened and kinda end on a cliffhanger sort of. But now Issac Clarke is fucking back bitches! And he's got new duds! He can also fucking fly.
Well okay so it's just thrusters that let him fly around in zero-g with no problem holy shit c'mon that is so cool.
Anyway it's been a little while since Isaac is rescued and brought to this place: The Sprawl.
So since this is a video game and all we all know some shit is gonna go down there and it's up to Isaac to save the day again with nothing but a plasma cutter and so, so many stasis packs. Oh, one more thing:
Did I mention Isaac has almost completely fucking lost it?

also, the fact that you are literally an intergalactic cable repairman with absolutely no military or defense training is something that is extremely unique and adds to the suspense level
Sell me on this game Bale. 'Survival Horror' doesn't really mean anything to me.
You are all alone in a dark atmospheric space station and you are assaulted by terrifying monsters that do not stop until you completely dismember them.
YOU MUST SEVER THEIR LIMBS
Basically it's got a fantastic legitimately terrifying atmosphere, fun combat, and inventive puzzles.
I just played the demo and I am so excited and oh my god there are children necromorphs. Not like the baby ones from the first game. These fuckers will swarm you.

with the exception of the pulse rifle, I'm pretty sure all the weapons are actually just engineering "tools"
The game was fun but the combat was like, fable easy.
The difficulty kinda went up when the shock made my controller fly across the room and I had to scramble for it as my limbs were torn off my body one by one. Also those fucking super fast black ones god fuck augh fuck those guys augh
I really liked the character design for Isaac. There are numerous titles starring faceless masked protagonists but Isaac's mask was truly striking.
They kind of make a big deal of not being able to see his face but then there is a part during the opening cut-scene where you can just swivel the camera around to see his face.
I'm a total sissy wimp to games like Resident Evil but for some reason science fiction horrors just don't scare me all that much, including this one. They're still a ton of fun though.
Also a lot of the scares were monster closets, and decoy corpses. There was some good scares in it but the majority of it was action game like.
I would say the atmosphere is what made the game actually scary
yeah, and the interface was boss as fuck. just i got so used to things like "okay, that corpse isn't dead, neither is that one, then a guy will burst through here. Alright, go team" and i was spot on more times then i should have been.

I don't remember being scared very much by monsters popping out of things, though it did definitely happen
I was way more scared when I was just walking down a hallway waiting for something to happen, or the weird shit you'd see that wasn't actually a threat but just really fucked up, like the
guy who's banging his head on a wall and just completely splatters it when you get close, or the necromorph you'd see standing in a doorway who'd run off and never reappear

I should get back to finishing this game sometim---... I just realized I have a surround sound system now. Going to play the FUCK out of this game with that system.

Yes, these were neat and good things.
Also the re-generator guy just made me angry. I hate things you can't kill for no good reason. luckily i could slow him down and then knock him over letting me get away with no issue.

When my roomie was fighting him and we got to that cryo chamber I had the common sense to say the perfect one liner. "Chill Out."
Needless to say my roommate nearly had an aneurysm from how bad it was.

IT'S SO WORTH IT
I am so excited about this game although that ad campaign is horrifyingly stupid

I could barely sit in the same room and watch it while my roommate played it
Can't wait to see if it's as fun as the original.

I really dug on the presentation of the interface.
