* Fixed a bug so a Saboteur will no longer remove the Blast Charges and Spike Charges of other Saboteurs when they are detonated. This means multiple Saboteurs attacking a target will stop roflstomping each other.
Huh, it's weird to me that Archon isn't even mentioned... is it the only soul with no changes? Been eying it since I got interested in this game.
Edit: Kinda tempted to do an auto attack based ranger/marks/assassin :P

Okay, got my invite and am downloading now for the first time. What server and side do I go to play with you lovely gents? I, unfortunately, have to work tomorrow so it'll be around 4:30 central before I get in. Anyone specific I should invite for the guild/group/whatever system is in place?
I'm really disappointed those racial changes made it into the beta event, they are just awful
My advice is to consider them a test of PvE and PvP without combat racials. They probably didn't want to remove them entirely, but it is very good to get some testing in without them.

Ugh.. I'm hardly going to be able to play this weekend. Stacks of homework, visiting the in-laws, Super Bowl making me work extra hours.. why couldn't this last through Tuesday? :P

Yeah, that's still possible
I actually liked that all of the racials were crazy good, Guardians just needed a good DPS racial.
EDIT: Also, I'm still not a fan of the scaling abilities that give huge bonuses for spending more than 36 points in a tree. Some of them seem so good that taking any less than 51 points in that tree would be foolish. Like Shaman's 50% melee damage.

Yeah I'm of two minds about this.
On the one hand, it makes it harder to cherry pick for interesting builds.
On the other hand, it makes it harder to cherry pick, which means they can have more powerful branch abilities that reward the specialists.
Granted, since getting these abilities basically requires 51 or close to 51 points, they may as well put it in the roots because the specialists will get it anyway. I could see how this would be somewhat jerky though, suddenly getting, say, a 50% damage boost would be pretty insane. And the current way still rewards you for "over speccing" even if you don't go all in.

Hrm.. I meant to mention I finally decided to bite the bullet and pre-order this. My wife and I enjoyed the beta last round quite a bit, so I placed the order. Only got one pre-order key, though... suppose I might have to contact Amazon. :P
Woo. Ordering the parts for my brand new PC tonight. I cannot wait. Patch notes seem.. interesting. We'll see how it works with my warrior tank vs my rogue tank once beta goes live.

Hmm... intrigued by the new Void Knight Blood From a Stone ability, might make them way more viable.
Also where is my damn invite?
Edit: got my invite. WoohoO!

Neither I nor my Lovely Partner have received ours either. Luckily, we will be spending the bulk of our day schushing down a mountain, so anything prior to 6PM won't affect us anyway. Hopefully, the invite will have reached us by then. Saturday is going to be an off-day, which is the perfect excuse for sitting indoors and playing with a new game.
I suppose I'm not too affected by the changes to racials since I never considered them incentive enough to play a particular race.
Having said that, I do like the Ascended Power addition. I came across quite a few wardstones that needed upgrading when I was travelling but never bothered purchasing them because A) I'm a planarite hoarder, and Keeping them in my backpack was one less space for when inventory was already at a premium.
The Bard critter army seems kind of cute/unique until I realized you had to cast it every 15 seconds. This is why I never liked playing a bard class, it just feels like constant mindless micromanagement.
Not sure why they gave Chloromancers the ability to track Life creatures. Maybe it'll come in handy for farming Elemental Crafting Bits a la World of Warcraft.
I do like the idea of the abilities that encourage players to go to 51 in a specific tree but not at the expense of hybridization. Maddoc's mention of the Shaman equivalent is an example. Druid seems pretty beefy too - an additional 100% healing and damage done by pets at 51. :shock:

The druid thing would be more impressive if the druid pets performed well at all :P Guess we'll see about the stayer though.
I kinda want to do a full on druid pvp spec just to piss off warriors and rogues with the Sloth strike.

One of the first abilities bards can spec for is to increase the duration of their motifs by I think 300%?
3 points bringing it up to 30 instead of 15 seconds. Still annoying especially when you consider there are 6 motifs at max level.
Some really good suggestions on the forum that they get limited to 3 motifs active at a time yet have different combinations produce melody buffs, so there is some actual tactics and not just face rolling across six keys every 30 seconds.

A bunch of classes get them, they are just flavor abilities. Is nice to see a few of them knocking around the ability trees.
I played a bard in exactly one dungeon before the last beta closed, but in that dungeon I already started to hate my motifs.
If you use them before a fight they run out halfway through, if you use them just as a fight starts you miss a huge dps increase, and I don't know if they are good enough for the party for me to spend a bunch of time reapplying them mid-fight or if I should just soldier through doing the best dps I can.

I think they are worth keeping up at all times so you just need to build them into a rotation. A bard buffs,debuffs, provides some dps and/or healing. You wont be trashing the meters on either end but you will be supporting your group.
HIGH ELVES
* Removed Wisdom of the Ages.
* Tavril's Grace now increases Wisdom by 10.
* Added: Angelic Flight: Flies toward the selected area. Cannot be used in combat.
DWARVES
* Removed Second Wind.
* Bahralt's Mettle now increases Strength by 10.
* Added: Density: Dwarves can fall twice the distance of other races safely.
MATHOSIANS
* Removed Heroic Resolve,
* Thedeor's Will now increases Dexterity by 10.
* Added: Motivational Roar - Increases the movement speed of the Mathosian and nearby group members by 30% for 10 seconds. This ability cannot be used in combat.
ETHIAN
* Removed Eth-Made Shield Generator.
* Sun's Fortune now increases Intelligence by 10.
* Added: Agility: Increases movement speed by 70% for 15 seconds. This ability cannot be used in combat.
KELARI
* Removed Kelari Frenzy.
* Flame's Ferocity now increases Dexterity by 10.
* Added Camouflage: The Kelari transforms into a ghostly fox for up to 30 seconds, giving them a wider radius to avoid aggro with, and despawning any pets the Kelari may have. This ability cannot be used in combat.
BAHMI
* Removed Sefir of Power.
* Removed Sefir of Constitution.
* Added: Sefir of Strength: Increases Strength by 10.
* Added: Mighty Leap: Leaps at the selected area. Cannot be used in combat.
I kinda like these changes to the racial traits, I knew that they'd give High Elves wings eventually!
Sure, the actual stats and combat abilities might be a bit tame now but it's all worth it for the flavour abilities they put in instead.
I could see the dwarf one in particular to be useful in PVP and the Kelari one will be very, very handy.

We have a Guardian guild on the Sunrest RP-PVP server, just send a in-game message to Jeran, Naimi (Ellthiteren) or Saelan (me) in game and we'll get you an invite.
There's also another Guardian guild on the RP-PvE server Faeblight, just contact Jeaa or Miaesa (SimpsonsParaodx) for an invite to them.
PA Beta Guilds:
The Six Mouths, Sunrest RP-PvP Server, Guardian Faction. Contact person: Ellthiteren (Jeran or Naimi in game)
Ambulatory Dresser, Faeblight RP-PvE Server, Guardian Faction. Contact person: SimpsonsParadox (Jeaa or Miaesa in game)
We have a PvP and a PvE guild up in place, both on the Guardian side. The PvP guild is The Six Mouths, on the Sunrest server. The PvE guild is Ambulatory Dresser, and we're on the Faeblight server. I believe anyone (or mostly everyone) in both guilds can invite, so just press o in game, do a guild search for whatever guild is on your server, and whisper somebody in it.
Wait, RP servers? I'm not gonna get bitched at if I play out of character am I? Also, let's make an official Defiant guild please. Defiant just sounds SO much better.

AD is on Guardian, Shanadeus.
I just saw the Guardian trailer in the OP and they reallyyy need to use this voice for the guardian intro of the game:

Not a surprise after we know the alpha notes. :twisted:
