It'll probably get its XBLA release once us PC lab rats get done running the bug riddled maze and seize the cheese at the end. I've never felt better about saying that either, because even with the rocky release I've had a blast with it, online and off. And yes, I purchased it Day One.
And the mutiplayer has gotten a lot better. Last time I played it only got flaky after a fourth player would join. Three players or less seemed to be pretty hunky dory. If you are worried about getting your progress hosed over and over in the campaign due to stability issues just play it offline and do the challenges online.
It'll probably won't come to XBLA or PS3. If you logically think about it, the sheer amount of keys necessary to be available or just not easily accessible or enough for a port to consoles. 8 elements need different keys, button to cast on self, button to cast area, boost shield, attack etc. Probably viable if they dumb it down, but would you play a castrated version?
And my experience with multiplayer just sucks, everyone is in a passworded game. The 1-2 games that actually isn't pw protected is full. I was hoping for L4D experience, I don't like the idea I have to make friends that have the game before I can play with anyone. I'm the type who wants to make friends as I play, not cool that I have to plan everything ahead of time.

Except you can already plug a controller (or three) into your computer and play local coop. The controls are already there. It's mildly clumsy... but it's already been programmed.

Also if you watch the trailer for the original game you will see an xbox a button pop up in a dialogue box. If you think about it a modern game pad has two sticks and 16 buttons, shouldn't be a problem making it work.
I too have a similar problem by the time I get off work everyone in the steam community has already gone to bed or is playing something else.

Man I so want to jump into this game with you all, but Killzone 3! and PJ Shooter 2! and more Dead Space 2! and LBP 2!
When I play with my friends there is some lag, but it's actually pretty small. Only rarely actually affects the game (and even then it's usually hilarious).
Just giving a big shout out to a fourmer named Varega (I think) who bought me magicka after talking about spending all of my money on other games for internet friends.
I switch out Vlad's Gauntlet for one of the Dwarf Priest staves, and I notice that Life magic still hurts me when I try to use it to heal. FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

That's messed up. At least you'll be immune to lightning though, you can survive Lightning Storm
Gives a magic hat, a staff +1, a sharp sword, and meteor shower. Which look like things I have already had.
It also says I already own it, so no clue.
Those were bonus items for pre-purchasing or buying Magicka within the first week, something like that. I didn't know they put them up for sale.
There was a thing on facebook today saying they added the pre-order DLC to steam for sale. A few people were upset that the pre-order bonus wasn't exclusive... but... Magicka: Vietnam!

Bought this to play with a friend today, but I need more mans to play with. Add VicWhiten on Steam if you want to blow each other up! http://steamcommunity.com/id/VicWhiten
For those asking about online play. I've had no problems since they patched it after a couple weeks. Of course, they've patched like 9 times or more in the first 8 weeks. Not letting your baby die is awesome, hi5 developers.

last time I played online it could get wonky with four players. Up to three was fine. And there have been patches since, so I figure it's even better now.
SHould I feel bad when I play the arena and spam elementals and zombies? Should I feel bad when i do this with the M90....because that conjures quite the image of a hooded wizard behind his fortress of rock, raining bullets upon his foes while his army of zombies and elementals march forth.
I notice in assorted videos that people can input spell combinations really, really fast, which doesn't work on my computer - sometimes it doesn't respond to keys at all, even. I've never seen it accept a new element before the last one has finished animating. Is this a common problem? Because it makes fights really, really annoying...
e: turns out that my system just sucks. Turning down the graphics makes it run smoothly.
Okay, this game is totally not balanced for solo campaigning
Fights thus far seem to be a matter of "let me get right up in your face and spam area spells". Which is the entirely logical outcome with powerful slow and freeze effects:t there's no advantage to staying at range. This would be impossible for multiplayer, I suppose - too much friendly fire - but for solo play, it's pretty dang powerful
on the other hand, every fight with a risk of getting punted off the platform is incredibly annoying
Is there an optimal weapon/staff? The M60's range makes it pretty awesome, especially combined with a shield - hide behind it and fire away. For staffs, though, I have no idea.

Picked this up today because I was bored and the demo was awesome, and now it's turned me, a long-time lurker, into a first-time poster. Add Rofl the Waffle on steam if you want to team up. Also, could someone pretty please invite me to the PA steam group?

More importantly, Blue Wizard is Sean "Topper" Harley.
edit: look at the fine print in the movie poster. it says "VLAD as General Lugosi"

I don't whether to insist that he's a blue Warlock, or that he has the notable advantage of possessing tiger's blood.

When changing your colors there are arrows next to the wizard for choosing your appearance.
It's neat seeing all the neat little extras when they are playing through it.
