indeed, when a non magicka terry cloth robe can be had for 20$ or less 85$ is a bit too much of a markup for me magicka or no magicka
No doubt.
One thing that struck me while watching the devs play the game is that they don't seem to use beam spells. At all. Kinda strange.
Myself, when I play, I'm all about setting up the water+cold for the freeze effects. Next time I play I'm going to go big on slamming solid earth spells. Looks like fun.
Although what's most awesome here is that they're actually making an effort to avoid splitting the playerbase. To that end, anyone can play the expansion as long as the host has it. That's just cool of them.
Took me by surprise certainly. I'm guessing there'll be a pack on Steam combining both of them, so I'll probably be looking to finally pick up Magicka then.
Warning: there's currently a severe bug that causes the game to crash whenever you are given a spell you already have - which means after defeating Assatur, Death, Fafnir, or even upon completing the tutorial, if you are playing after having completed the game at least once. Since these are end bosses, you would have to replay the whole level again.
The patch to fix this has already been completed, but hasn't been pushed out yet. So... wait for it, I suppose.
(man this game is buggy. Fun, but buggy as hell. Crashing with out of bounds errors?)

Yep, I got it. For some weird reason it wouldn't download the DLC automatically, and I'm impatient, so I just told it to download the whole game again. Sure enough, the base game is about 700 megs and it's downloading a total of about 1 gig.
I would like to pause for a moment, to talk about my penis.
My penis is like a toddler. A toddler—who is a perfectly normal size for his age—on a long road trip to what he thinks is Disney World. My penis is excited because he hasn’t been to Disney World in a long, long time, but remembers a time when he used to go every day. So now the penis toddler is constantly fidgeting, whining “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How about now? Now? How about... now?”
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.

So I've downloaded it... and I can't find the Vietnam content? What the hell?
There better be Gibberish versions of Bird is the Word and other classic songs in there.

So the 1/2 off price is pretty tempting, but when I tried the demo, the game was pretty damn sluggish, despite meeting or exceeding all the required specs. Were there any performance related patches? If not, I'll just come back to this one after my next upgrade.
I was going to buy this on friday as a quit-smoking reward. (since 8 quid is equal to two days smoking)
But now that it's half price I will get this tonight!
Did they fix the online co-op issues people were having? Because my friend is getting it too, and it's kind of important that we can play it co-op without too much issue .....

To assuage fears... there have been many patches for this and most of the network kinks have been worked out. Feel safe in the knowledge that some random internet personality assures you it's safe to have fun.

After not touching it for fear of contracting, like, fifty venereal diseases, Morninglord finally convinced me to play.
Hot shit is it ever fun.
Except when you all crash and stuff.
But damn.
...'Course I was the hero casting shields when we were trying to beam down bosses and randomly dropping explosive mines in inconvenient places but we all start somewhere. In my case it was in pieces all over the screen.
Hey basil you got room for one more in your game? I'm preaty experienced in solo play and only a bit of controller co-op. Steam name same as forum name.
I rolled eyes when the trailer claimed that the came contained humour. Much like other people probably did. But man, it is actually funny.
I love, love the whole "Vlad isn't a Vampire" thing. When he clearly is. But everyone keeps reminding you that he isn't. Like it's an elephant in the room.
"With Vlad's almost..... Vampiric abilities, the wizards felt confident"
Honestly, I can't remember the last time I actally laughed at "Humour" in a videogame.

Some of the jokes are realy subtle. Like uncle owen at the start of chapter 2. The number of starwars references is rediculous.
Hey a random I was playing with was wondering if we got all of the Vietnam magicks. Anyone find anything other than Revive, Napalm, Haste and Time Warp?
Thats all I've found in 'Nam so far. You can get napalm in the old survivals, which is freakin' awesome.
I can swear someone said there was a self cast shield combo that protected you from knockback. With the stupid high amount of knockbacks (Getting juggled by snipers, RPD guys, and RPGs is great!) in 'nam, I'd love for that to be a real thing and not some fever dream. Anyone have any ideas?
Other than sheild earth self cast I can't think of anything. But that little combo there also makes you immobile and unable to attack with out shattering your shell. Honestly rock walls are the best bet in that mode, even the uber bubble fails so quickly.

Try reducing shadow quality by one notch.

Hey I realised why I kept killing you and monger after we stopped.
Thunderbolt picks the highest enemy on the screen.
All the times I killed you and monger (mostly monger) it was all small critters.
So I should have that one worked out for the most part by next time.
Except for when I kill you because I want to. Naturally.

I'm the host with the save file so you'll have to deal with some lag. We are up to chapter 8 now as well.
But if you are cool with that add me to steam and I'll contact you in the morning.
Morninglord on
(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.
So... do enemies just constantly stream in on this DLC?
I have to say, playing single player it's really kind of annoying to have to kill the same guys over and over again. The gunfire knockback is also pretty annoying.
Kind of disappointed to be honest

Morninglord will tell you that some of the times he kills you are times that he wasn't intending to kill you. This is a lie. All of the times he kills you are times that he intends to kill you. You will know because of all his squealing masochistic giggles.
