Saving webpages

I do this quite a lot and get annoyed with having to have not just the html page itself saved, but also a folder created including all the images. Half of the time I don't even need the images. Is there a way to make Firefox/IE/Windows only download the page itself, without the images and extra folder? Or even better, download the page but keep the img src="http.. in the file.

Windows makes this even harder by deleting the html file if you delete its image folder!

You can always just "View/Source" and then save it.

When you go to save the page, there is an option to save the page as HTML only. In Firefox, you go File --> Save Page As --> Web page, HTML only. That's what I do, and it works pretty well.
