The Plan:
Move up, mark mage, DAZZLING FLARE while weakened (okay damage, mark and a penalty to hit are useful)
Next turn, NUKENUKE with Dire Radiance and Dread Star after getting a curse off. 5d6+14+double vulnerability sounds tasty.
I'm really liking this ranged defender thing.
Edit: OH MY GOD. THEY CHANGED DREAD STAR! It now does something on a miss!
Dread Star You create a fist-sized orb of painful blue-white radiance that whirls around your enemy, searing him. Fierce rays shoot from it like jabbing daggers of light, fencing him in where he stands.
Daily: Arcane, Fear, Implement, Radiant
Standard Action Ranged 10
Target: One creature
Attack: Charisma vs. Will
Hit: 3d6 + Charisma modifier radiant damage, and the target is immobilized until the end of your next turn.
Miss: Half damage, and the target is slowed until the end of your next turn.
Effect: The target takes a -2 penalty to Will defense (save ends).
What, they changed your super shitty daily? WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?
For the record, I told Kay not to take that daily.

Shut up, it's an awesome Daily. (It's not awesome. BUT IT IS IN THEME) They changed it on the 8th of December, 2011!
So, about that vulnerability... gonna let us KNOW so we can do our turns properly? I can't remember if it goes before or after the half-mod from Weakness, though.

Sooooo, here's the thing. Nathan's dead. Obviously, there should be consequences for his death. However, I do not want to "punish" deadonthestreet by taking away his companion character while the rest of you all still have your own. So at this point, I think I have a few options in my head:
1. It's time for a subquest where you make off to some... I dunno... macguffin of some sort that will save Nathan from death, at the expense of draining your resources and continuing to risk your civilian charges.
2. You "trade" some of the living civilians for another companion character. Mechanically speaking, I never established this possibility, and obviously, it makes no sense in-game.
3. Nathan dies and you all move on with one less companion character.
4. ??? I'm open to suggestions.
I would present the choices in-game, but obviously there are meta-game considerations to be taken into account, so... let us know!
