I'm definitely going to PAX East, and would to attend this meetup, but I'm meeting friends at the con, and they might not want to come along, so put me down as a "definite maybe"
My boyfriend Etherangel and I will most definitely be coming - and may even drag along a friend/travel buddy of ours (who is a pretty swell straight guy ally). Can't wait!

When and where is the Meetup?
Officially, Friday, March 11, from 11 pm on at the UNO location at 715 Boylston Street, Boston, MA. Those of us traveling from the convention center will meet beforehand (probably around 10:30 pm) in the lobby of the Westin Boston Waterfront.
I've already sent in the headcount, BUT I've asked them to reserve the whole terrace area for us, and to let us order/pay for food and drinks individually (so they won't need a set price-per-head)...hoping we'll have no trouble accommodating all you johnny-come-latelys. :P (What DO your partners think?...) I'll let you know when I hear back on the final details.

Just got word back from my contact -- Thundercats are GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! When you get to the venue, just tell them you're part of the GLBT meetup in the terrace -- even if the host doesn't recognize exactly what's going on, they should be able to direct you to the location. Don't worry, the terrace is entirely enclosed, so you won't freeze in the lovely March weather.
Food and drink will be entirely your responsibility -- because a lot of people are still 'maybes' I decided a fixed menu/price per head wasn't the way to go. Also I didn't want to deal with the hassle of drink tickets and IDs and all that. I think this is the best option, really -- no cover charge or minimum bar, just pay for what you want to eat or drink.

I've already turned in the rough headcount and we've been given the terrace. At this point we're limited only by the total number of people they'll put up with. I expect they'll be thrilled with our vast numbers, honestly.

It's the hotel attached to the convention center. 425 Summer Street in Boston. (You have no idea how tempted I was to pay homage to Star Trek IV and go 'Oooo. I think it's on the waterfront. In Boston!')

Guys, I just want to say thanks for making it out to the meetup this year. I had an awesome time, even if I didn't get to talk with nearly as many of you as I would have liked (we nearly freaking knocked the walls off that place!), and it was great to just come together as a community and hang for a while. I'll see if I can do something a bit more extensive next year. Hope to see you around the con tomorrow!

Just wanted to say I am really sorry I wasn't able to make it! I was very, very much looking forward to it, but I got stuck in a panel with some friends and by the time I realized it, it was too late to make it to go with the group, and I felt a little too uncertain to go on my own.
I am sad I didn't get to meet all of you wonderful people. Next year, I hope we can do something just as awesome together, and I promise I will not repeat the error!
(Also I was rooting for you in the Omegathon all the way, Themiscyra. You were brilliant. )
