And I'm April O'Neil, Channel 6 News. I don't really know what I'm doing here.
We've got a great match for you here at the first annual Villain Bowl. BOOM! TOUGH ACTIN' TINACTIN!
That's right, John. Well, the part where you weren't braying like a jackass, anyways. Let's get right to the Tale Of The Tape.The first guy I want to talk about is Doctor Doom. John, what are your thoughts on Doom?
Well, y'see, I think that, if Doom manages to overpower Loki, there's a real chance he could win this thing. HE'LL REMEMBER THAT NUMBER! POW!That's... perceptive. I hear that Doom will be wearing his magical armor for this match. Any thoughts on that?Well, y'see, with that crazy leather armor Doom's got, his magical ability goes pretty high, which is what you want when you're dealin' with a guy like Loki. The thing is, y'see, that it makes him more vulnerable to an attack. BOOM! HE GOT ALL OF THAT ONE!Well that brings us to Loki. Now, Loki's been called a god, but from reports I've heard, he's actually the son of a frost giant who was raised as a god. Now, that doesn't seem to be a detriment to his power, however. Loki's taken on some pretty big challengers so far. Direct combat seems not to be to his taste however, so we'll see how he does here.IT'S IN THE GAME!Right you are, John. Now, let's discuss the venue here. I'm being told that this fight is being staged on Krypton, 3 hours before it's set to explode. That puts some interesting time constraints on these two competitors who have been shown to prefer Machiavellian schemes over direct force. I think Doom wins because I doubt most of us have even read enough Thor comics to have a clear idea as to what Loki's abilities really are.
Whereas Doom is, clearly, capable of doing anything.

He was still trying to win her over, while she admired Deadpool because he was one of the only living people who could see her. Problem was, he literally couldn't be killed, so they could only be together in the short time inbetween his "death" and when his healing factor kicks in and brings him back to life.
A complicated romance. Oh, and Deadpool might be Loki's son.

However, a proper Loki vs. Thor match will rock.
I always thought that one simply could not mind control/manipulate doom. Not because of any special power of course, just because the man's willpower is FUCKING INSANE.

On the other hand, Doom has probably beaten Thor in the past as well.

this is krypton. people across the DC galaxy have been Jizzing over their tech for a while now.
yes doom has mystic armor, but we do know that it CAN be damaged by lower demons in hell. [how else did he get it that way?]
loki im sure can utilize any number of ways to defeat doom. the trickster again will only need to keep him there for 3 hours.
If our Tourney host would be so kind as to tell us what the characters are equipped with? does doom have access to his portable time machine to be able to try and try again?

edit: the more i read about loki, the more i think he deserves to be in the final round. he might be a knock around doll, but hes the knockaround doll of the strongest hero 616 has had and the winner of the hero tourney

in the ragnorok arc, surtur created uru hammers for everyone on loki's side. uru is the same material that mjiolnir is made out of. is loki carrying one into this fight? cuz that would be awesome.

I think Loki wins, unless Doom has some way to get to Krypton before the fight starts and set up some sort of trap to catch Loki there when the planet explodes. If not Loki is stronger than Doom both physically and magically, and he is every bit as cunning.
you should wiki it, theres like 4 versions. im assuming we're using the post crisis version where people are living in domes like in FF:spirits within.
what would be f'ing awesome is if doom had a failsafe where he could cause the planet to explode early. loki would no see that shit coming

man. im as big a fan of doom as your next guy. but im gonna hafta vote loki unless someone convinces me otherwise.
First off, youve got loki, the shapeshifting trickster god, whose manipulater WAY more than his fair share of superheroes into attacking eachother. you put him on a planet where the people are paranoid of alien outsiders, and at the time of their arrival, the planet just so happens to start shaking....hmmmmm....advantage:Loki
Name one good Loki story you've ever read where he actually does something impressive that isn't magical plot bullshit.

And my point is a PLOT DEVICE shouldn't be winning a tournament.
Why do people even want Loki to win? If Loki wins there's only one possible way to vote in the next round where Doom at least stands a chance.
That being said he's going to bow down before Loki!
