I obviously don't know how a train enthusiast would feel about it, but it seems to me that putting all of the DLC in one pack and discounting it by 80% does two things:

    - Makes people who have been loyally buying individual DLC all this time angry
    - Invalidates the feeling of "collecting" each individual train DLC, much as you would a train model kit

Then again, maybe their sales are suffering, and that's why they've given this discount the go-ahead.

    Edit:
I'd choke with anger if that was all I saw when I opened up the store window.

I'd choke with laughter if I opened this thread and saw you choking with anger over the Steam store being full of Railworks DLC.

I bought Railworks when it was on sale, because I wanted to take a closer look at it. I have only taken a very quick look at it and managed to start a train, which I drove to Outer Bogtown or somewhere like that. I have very little interest in trains, but it seemed lovingly detailed and well-crafted, in a hardcore "I fucking love my trains" way.

I do wish that other genres that were once popular, but that are now barely living on the fringes of gaming, like the CQB Swat game or the turnbased tactical shooter (Xcom, Jagged Alliance) would receive similar fanatic love from someone out there. That'd be something. Those model railroad enthusiasts are lucky to have this, IMO.

You should. It's not very long, except for one particular chapter.
On a whim, I decided to give it a shot after having it on my list for years. Played it the whole way in one sitting. :D

Pretty much the same. I kind if feel bad since I got it free way back when that European site was giving the keys away for free. Ill probably do what I did with Metro and gift a couple out randomly when it goes on sale.

Its not like haven't tried it before. I did attempt to play it before but it kept freezing with that gpu+cpu combo. This is the first time I'm playing it with the new(ish) hardware. And it looks gorgeous. The set pieces, as I mentioned, earlier are great so far. The rooftop chase is probably one of my favorite chase sequences in any game.

I keep getting this feeling that there is a game that has explicit sexual content in it that is respectful, tactful, and is not misogynistic and that if I keep looking on steam, gog, and impulse long enough I will find it.

Till then, I gonna download mirror's edge and enjoy every minute of it, were there mods or DLC released for it?

DMoMM is so good. Just so friggin good. Kicking orcs down stairs into other orcs off a cliff never, ever gets old. Also, best first-person stealth kill animation ever.

The voice acting in DMoMM leaves something to be desired. Fortunately that desire is met by other means, and those means usually involve kicking.

My only complaint about DMoMM is a very minor one. My footsteps in the game sounds like an elephant stomping around. Since I always tend towards bastard characters that prance around in the shadows, the STOMP-STOMP-STOMP as I move around is distracting. :)

But yeah, kicking people, dropping heavy things on their heads, setting them on fire. It all makes up for it.

Pretty sure theres a stealth upgrade that removes the stomping thus keeping you from getting spotted as you sneak up to the enemy.

You guys provoked me to try the Dark Messiah demo last night. It's not really doing it for me. I love that it's an attempt at a fantasy game with more intense, visceral combat, but it just seems so gimmicky. When I can kick enemies into or off of things, I win. When I can't, I get my shit pushed in. Kick, kick, kick. Remove the kick-people-into-hazards gimmick and the combat really isn't much deeper than Oblivion: left click to attack, right click to block, hold left click for a power attack. Ho hum. I can see how it would be fun to treat the whole game as a puzzle where you devise ways to kill enemies with the environment but that's not what I wanted out of it.

Gamersgate is having a big sale on AI War stuff for the release of the new AI War expansion Light of the Spire.

The game and first two expansion packs can be activated on Steam right now. Light of the Spire will be available for activation on Steam when it releases. It's a good deal if you've ever been interested in checking the game out. It's really competing for top spot on my list of favorite strategy games.

You can use the Steam Mover program! I'm using an external hard drive and it's what I've done for some games.

When all else fails, close Steam, delete the clientregistry.blob, and start it up again, although apparently there are other things you are supposed to try first. That used to be the Steam panacea though.

Ha ha ha, I wasn't seriously considering it. Even if I was more than extremely casually interested for that much money I could buy most of the new titles coming out this year that I'm really anticipating (Shift 2, Witcher 2, Skyrim, possibly TDU2, Deus Ex 3 and Homefront).

If somebody actually buys it though I will laugh so hard.
And expect them to be verrrrry generous with gifting next holiday sale since they clearly bathe in money. :P "Sorry guys, spent it all on Railworks."
