That is a huge letdown if it is the case. Like, dealbreaker kind of letdown
Ironically the Vita is the only 3G type device of its kind for what I need it for!
Have you ever used Mobile Flash? It is terrible. This is not a bad thing that it won't be crashing your Vita randomly.
The thing is, I don't want Flash! This expensive online class course I use only has the video lectures in Flash player, and it is incredibly frustrating to deal with >:(
Ok, so I just discovered the "Panels" customization options for your profile. Is it possible to download or obtain more of these? The default stock is rather large, but its also rather lacking. I'm using a God of War avatar which I've had on my PSN account for a while, and I'd like to have something that matches up thematically with it.
Right now I'm just using a generic playstation panel with X ^ O [] on it. But this is hardly ideal.

Hah, so you'd imagine that a fricken Vita is a gaming related purchase right? Well I'm supposed to get double points at Best Buy on gaming related purchases, guess what wasn't listed as one on my Reward Zone account? Guess I'm going to have to call them up and have them fix this, because double points on a 300+ dollar transaction is quite significant.

Yeah. I think their "gamer" version of the reward zone is all effed up. Sometimes you only get credit for certain items. It should be anything pertaining to gaming, as is described when signing up, but like the company itself, it is far from perfect or functionally acceptable in any way

I'm still waiting on 1666 points that just vanished from my account before I even got any certificates from them. I called them up about it and they said it would be dealt with in 7 days, it's been a bout 3 weeks.

You only get double points on games and accessories, not hardware.

Wow, that's pretty ridiculous, considering, "EVERY GAMING RELATED PURCHASE" is all I've ever heard from every clerk in every BB store I've ever been in.

It's supposed to be double the points if you are Gamer Zone and you pre-ordered. It was right on the promotion when I pre-ordered mine. In fact, they screwed up the transaction (I was the first to pick up my FEB at the location) and they admitted I would only get 1x the points and to call the Rewards people to ensure I got my double points.
Edit: To clarify, the promotion had nothing to do with points, it was the Canadian free Uncharted dealio.

See? I told you their system is not that good. You may be able to argue that one to customer service though. Don't feel bad, it takes my points forever to get through to my account and turn into certificates since I have the mastercard. It has to go through HSBCs system, who suck for anything other than letting you use their card and charging you, then after you pay off your balance, the points have to go to best buy(not a quick process), then be verified or something, then turn into points, which can then be applied to your certificate acquisition. At this point, because I use the card on a daily basis, multiple times a day, I have a somewhat steady stream of certificates in, but it still does take a while to see a return. But it's better than just using a debit or credit card and paying it off, watching your money walk off and do nothing for you.

They just canceled my 1666 points that I was owed, so I called back between posts here and showed them the simple math that between one certificate and the next I spent X number of dollars and only got Y worth of certificates. So now I have to wait another couple weeks to see if they will decline my valid request to get the points I'm owed.
Edit: Though just to clarify a chunk of the 1666 was bonus points the guy offered me for the inconvenience of having to deal with all this shit, so they are fully in the right to cancel the bonus points if they want, but NOT the points that I earned by spending money and not getting certificates for.
I wish you could gift games that you own. Because, while I think Escape Plan is cool, I'm not sure if I'll play it much. It seems to have a rising amount of reflexes and twitch involved in solving the puzzles, and that just never seems to catch my interest.
Which doesn't really make much sense, as I love rhythm games. I just don't like reflex plus puzzle.
Its sad to think a game is good, love the art-style and love the idea of it, but just know you won't be motivated to play it. Oh well, if only $15 ends up being a "waste" out of my launch purchases, I suppose that's not too bad.

Just got my Vita, setting it up. Get a call, and put it to sleep. Now I return to it and I can't wake it up. Help?
Try holding down the power button? Hold it down for like 30 seconds, release, then hold it for like another 10 or something, I think it is? There had been some issues that seemed to be solved by a single hard reset of the device.

I'm adding all of you because I'm tired of only seeing a couple of your names above mine on SSD: Delta. I can't be bothered to try and type out all the various and sundry reasons you should accept my request on either a PS3 or Vita keyboard, so here goes:
I'm a nice person who will always be below you on the leader boards of every game. Allow me to pad your ego.

For whatever reason the Friends App will not connect to the PSN. Everything else on the Vita will, but Friends hangs on the connection part. Weird. I even tried connecting ahead of time, and then sliding into the app. No dice.
Guess I'm adding all of you through the PS3.

Couple of things.
1) Have people sent me invites but I haven't accepted? I've repeatedly gotten notifications that I have Friend Requests yet the app shows no requests.
2) I finally beat Wipeout 2048. I assumed that would unlock the AR mode that all the trailers showed... it did not. Where the hell is this?
I'm kind of curious. After trying out and enjoying the Lord of Apocalypse demo from the Japanese store, I'm wondering if its prequel Lord of Arcana on the PSP was any good? It's on the Vita's PSP store, so I was kind of tempted to pick it or maybe God Eater Burst up.
Damn! I just had the Vita finally run out of juice on me just as I was about nab the Feiser Prototype A-Class Race on Wipeout. I swear I was doing that one for a good fifty minutes by itself.
I did learn two things from the experience though: one being that the system warns you when the battery is low, and the other is that you have a little under ten minutes to plug it in to charge before it dies after the warning.
Galactus is beating the everliving shit out of me in UMVC3.
Seriously. I can only beat him on Very Easy, despite having no trouble with the rest of the fights on Medium.
Make sure you have a strong anchor that has a multi-hit super. Whenever he does that super charge thing where his hand starts to glow, hit him with whatever can multi-hit the most. Ryu's super fireball is great for this, dante's gun super, etc. You need to do enough damage to knock him out of the animation, and he'll fall over and you can do more damage. Just rush up to his chest as fast as you can and keep doing the l l m h combos to wear him out. Your first 2 characters are just timesinks to build enough supers for your strong anchor to pop xfactor and blow him up with the multihit supers. Also remember that you take no chip damage while in XFactor mode, so be sure to block whatever you can with that final character. The hardest part for galactus is the two guys in the beginning. If you can catch both at once, and make sure you get to galactus with at least half health on your first character, he really isn't too tough.

How is the Darkstalkers PSP game? I've never played one, figured for 10 bucks it'd be worth a shot.
I was about to ask this. Is there no way to see what your guys are currently wearing in the shop?

are the PSVita and PSP compatible in local multiplayer?
like, could i play MHFU with myself, if both systems had it?
because that might be a pretty compelling reason for me to rebuy some games on the psn store.

Both Persona 1 and 2 are fun Dungeon Crawlers but just know that they're pretty different from 3 and 4.

Oh, I tried out Touch My Katamari, and it's Katamari, only more DLC-esque.
Yay.
