I suppose it's a little off topic but I'm participating in the Mirran VS. Phyrexia league they have going on for MTG. It's cutting in to my LoL time but so does everything else between having a job, house, girlfriend etc. I miss the days of being able to follow the LoL flow chart(applied to whatever game I was playing at the time).
I wish they would make 3/2 work as a surrender because fuck you the game's over let's play a new one that you won't lose for us, two people who feed and vote no

Yeah, I've gotten to the point where in normal games, I just don't care enough to try and slog back into the game by turtling for 30 minutes and hoping for an ace after the hour mark. A simple majority should be enough to bring a surrender through. Now in ranked, that's probably different, but people in theory should be playing ranked to win...so it serves to reason no one would surrender anyway? Right? Guys?

What if 3 people are plants on your team and they're trying to get more IP for their buddies on the opposing team?
i always vote no on surrender. would rather play one 80 minute game than two 40 minute games or four 20 minute games.
do you nerds seriously need more ip?

I can understand surrendering in normal games because you are lazy.
But if you play ranked, I'd imagine that you'd want to play to win. Also, it isn't hard to turn the tides in LoL. Simple numbers game really, if you surrender, you will lose 100%. If you don't, at best your team loses in the next team fight, wipes and the game ends anyways in 5 mins (depending on your opponent). At worse, you wipe the enemy team and have a chance of winning in the next team fight.
Also, I'd be willing to bet an extra 5 mins of my time to make my already invested 25 mins worthwhile. Giving up is for chumps and whiners. The game only ends when the nexus blows up >.>

Whenever there is a surrender vote, it means somebody on your team doesn't want to play and isn't having fun. Clearly, they would much rather be doing anything but playing that game when they vote to surrender. If your vote is the deciding vote, then it means that over half your team isn't having fun.
Besides, a surrender vote is a quick and painless way to force the end of the match. They have many, many more options to force the end of the game if they want to. Eg, chilling at spawn, actively feeding, trolling, etc. Unless you really want your team to start feeding and trolling you, the surrender vote is the best option.
Sure, maybe our Yi will become a deadly carry in 15 minutes, but I'd rather start a fresh new game than extend the one where we have already been outplayed and the enemy team deserves the win.
Hells bells Alvarian, I'm just too angry to detect sarcasm right now! I just had another solo ranked game where I played pretty poorly but my team carried me to victory. I wish they'd stop being so good.
would rather have a troll or afk than surrender. dont join if you dont want to actually play the game.

i normally like to surrender after we have an inhibitor or two down and it is round 40-50 minutes
cause generally to come back from that it'll push the game over an hour and then i am exhausted
edit: oh alright bigwah its just been my experience that most people are like "you guys just wanna start another one instead of dealing with this?" if it is looking pretty bad or unfun

Sometimes I want to surrender because playing the current match has sucked the fun out of it so much that I'd rather say "fuck it" give the nerds a win and move on

I have waaaaay more people trolling my own team in ranked than in normal
normal queue people are respectful :P
Also the time should be reduced from 25 minutes to the second when minions spawn.
