Why the hell are energy regen runes so god damned expensive? I can get 2 rune pages for what it costs to get a set of yellows and quints.
Because Riot didn't really want to add them to the game at all, but people just never stopped bitching.
They're only useful for Kennen anyway.
Neither Shen nor Akali really have energy issues once you get their rhythm down.
I want them in order to not care about the rhythm! I want to toss blades and feint and still taunt too!
Truth is I want to roll AP Shen in random normal games and he has higher energy demands.

People seem not to understand that energy regen scales well with cooldown reduction. A Shen with 40% CDR and full energy regen (a stat that you cannot get on in-game items; only from blue buff) can put out significantly more damage and CC than one with merely 40% CDR.
They are fantastic and give you so much more mobility since you can use dash to move around (not hitting anybody) without feeling like you're wrecking your entire energy pool.
I play a very mobility-oriented Shen with movespeed quints and energy regen per level yellows.

Yi steals my wraiths
all lanes are constantly pushed so I can't gank
team feeds the crap out of Yi and Eve
Doesn't know that when there's one guy way the fuck on the other side of the map, it's okay to 5v4 their team
And on the flip side, when all enemies are MIA and one of your guys is on the other side of the map coming back from buying, maybe don't try to all wander into their jungle where Galio will skullfuck all of you with his ult
I want to buy kat, but this one time I played against one who started out 12/0 because our mid and bottom were awful(how do you die as mid morgana) and I was 2v1 as irelia and like 7/2. I carried the shit out of our team because every time kat would death lotus I stunned her and she didn't get a single kill for the rest of the game.

just played the type of game I absolutely hate the most. went annie mid against veiger, nothing special, we peck at each other, don't do much other than farm. meanwhile, the enemy akali is 8-1 against vlad top somehow, getting as triple kill against a shen, pantheon and vlad, how, who the fuck even knows. the shen is the worst I've probably ever seen, the pantheon is most likely a bot farming ip or something, we have a trist somewhere, I don't fucking know, their sion is ganking me mid NON stop, can't do shit against double stun super nukes from him and veiger.......
meanwhile, on their team, the akalii is apparently raging for some reason, hates her teams guts, and decides to simply...leave. leaves 8-2. their jungle nunu leaves shortly after. we end up winning, and it was the worst win of my life, we didn't deserve it at all, not int he slightest. I'm sure this is how people in ranked get carried to high elo's, and simply don't deserve it at all, I wholeheartedly feel saorry for the other team, cause we damn sure didn't do anything to deserve the win.
edit: btw whoever invited me to that game, I was disconnected from chat and couldn't see anyone in the room, so I logged out and have no clue who it was, I know it wasn't anyone on my friends list. mah bad.

That's called All Random All Mid, otherwise known as ARAM
It has specific rules like you can't go back unless you die (I think suicides are permitted but hard to execute without giving up a kill) and you can't leave the lane to go into the bushes etc

It's fascinating to watch.
May have to give it a whirl sometime.
Almost makes me wish it were an officially supported game mode. Be an easy enough map to make....

it's megaboring. you're level 1 for about four minutes and you cannot do anything aggressive
I did it one time and got katarina, so my team won.
Also we had a gangplank who was denying (holy shit we were up like three levels) and also using his ultimate to farm sidelanes without technically leaving mid
my pentakill was 10 minutes after two of my teammates left the game because they had to go to dinner and when i pasted it into paint IT CAME OUT BLACK AND I WAS SO ANGRY FUCKKKKKKKKKKK
