He is 5 or 6 years old, depending on the accuracy of the woman who gave him away on Craigslist; she was busy yelling at her two demon-spawn literally bouncing off the walls, and a 110-pound Lab who kept trying to pick "Pig" up in its mouth. :?
Life has gotten much better for the little dude; fast forward four years and change, minus a tumor on his belly, and he's dealing with some tooth problems. The bottom left one broke off near the root, and his top teeth have gotten chipped, possibly from trying to compensate and chewing the wrong way.
He's still eating okay, but I want to get him to a cavy/small animal vet for a look-see, as we lost one of our first pigs (Tama's old cagemate) to malnutrition stemming from painful dental problems. We used Westgate Pet & Bird Hospital in Austin, which was great, but now we've moved back to San Antonio. Anyone know a good small-animal vet hereabouts?
If either option above doesn't give results (the second one was given to me in my guinea pig thread a couple months ago, the only doctors listed near me didn't actually do guinea pigs), I basically had to sit down with the phone book and go down the list of every small animal vet until I found one. There might even be a local vets network like there is here - one particular name kept coming up when I called different vets.
A lot of small animal doctors don't do guinea pigs, which surprised me. Finding a rat or rabbit vet was never a problem, but finding a guinea pig vet took all afternoon.

Also, Guinea Lynx has a vet list, but it's user-submitted & I don't see any S.A. ones listed.
Hope your little guy gets fixed up!
