I had an idea for a tattoo design that I kinda liked

black outline of a circle, four black half circles on the north, east, south, and west of the circle, and a tiny black center

    Signifying?

    literally no meaning to it

I mean, I could always bullshit and say something silly like it's a compass, or it represents the four elements and aether

really, I just think it's a cool design

And that is all you need

    Also, get this

I mean I think it's just, lots of people come up with a thing they think is cool at the moment but after some calmer reflection they might have regrets about getting it

I don't know, it was like a month and a half, tops, from design to execution for me, so whatever
I was just throwing out another viewpoint

yeah that's kind of my feeling on it

like my aunt gave me the whole 'well how is gonna look 50 years from now?'

and i'm just like 'who gives a shit? i like it now, and it'll make for a great story no matter what'

I think it was someone on these forums that put it really well

If you see two 70 year old dudes at the gym with their shirts off

and one has perfectly plain old skin, liver spots, weird bits with like a really long single black hair, bitchin wife beater tan lines

and the other is covered in faded, blotchy, indecipherable old tattoos

which do you think has a more interesting life story?

My last company I worked for which was in the archery business either gave away or super cheaply priced hunting themed tattoos at their booth at the big product convention last year. It went over super well. The booth was full for the three days of the show. Great Idea for the people that got them? Possibly not. Awesome draw to check out the products? Oh fuck yes.

Also my tattoo. I got it to remind me to always keep exploring and trying new things.

I wound up waiting 4.5 years for mine; I decided on the swallow and location sometime around my senior year of HS. But then again, I didn't have a timely thing to commemorate and didn't have the money for it then.

Also, tattoos were illegal in SC until fairly recently, and it was only last year that 18 to 20 year olds started being able to get them without parental consent.
