The concept of cute used to weird me out. Like, there's cute as in "hey look at this little bunny rabbit, so cute, I'd like to be its friend and give it hugs and carrots" and then there's "hey look at that girl she's so cute I'd like to fuck her silly".

"That man is playing Galaga! He thought we wouldn't notice. But we did."
In defense of that He-man and Bow were pretty homoerotic.
His heart beats for She-Ra! Or does it?
Nothing is more manly than homoerotic man love. It doesn't even NEED women and their womanly ways.
God I hope not. She-Ra is his twin sister.
No, no, Bow. That was his toy's tagline--"his heart beats for She-Ra." IIRC, there was a button on his back, and when you pressed it you could see his heart beating.
In retrospect, sort of a disturbing action feature.

It was confusing until you found out they were one and the same.

I definitely get a kick out of Derpy Hooves' google-eyes getting incorporated into the show intentionally.
I'm also under the impression that Gilda the Griffin is one butch-ass lesbian and she was trying her damnedest to get Rainbow Dash to go for a roll in the clouds.
protip: if someone is trying to troll you and you spend a page saying "you're totally not going to troll me!", they trolled you. Reacting to a troll by calling them a troll is on the diagnostic criteria for clinical retardation

Royal Highness (abbreviation HRH) is a style (His Royal Highness or Her Royal Highness); plural Royal Highnesses (abbreviation TRH, Their Royal Highnesses). It appears in front of the names of some members of some royal families but is not used for Kings or Queens who are styled Majesty.

Well, Marsh helped improve my AV, and I've been working on my sig.
My sig is still pretty rough though.

Man. It always makes me sad when people rag on guys for liking "non-manly" things. I don't get it. As a girl I can watch Transformers and not get flack for it, but if a guy likes She-Ra or MLP he's a weirdo? It doesn't make any sense.
I used to not enjoy stuff because I thought it would make me look strange/feminine/kinda gay
then I left puberty, and accepted that
a) people can like what the fuck they want, it's only when it gets into fetish territory that I go a bit "meeeh", but what the hell do I really care, I am in no way harmed by any of this
b) my self image is robust enough to not be influenced by what others think too much anymore
That being said this show does nothing for me, but I just love you guys and gals loving it, because children need good shows to grow up to, and if the fine people here can like it, it must be a good show.
Especially as girls shows go, because girls shows used to be rather... horrifyingly in their stereotypes
also has anyone seen that "Rango" trailer? I spotted it on the daily show and really kinda liked it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tH8xW8mF-AI
and by that I mean it was fucking awesome
Our theater has been running a trailer for that for a while now. Oddly enough, the trailer doesn't come in a digital 3D format, just digital 2D and regular 35mm.
Last minute reminder that we doin' a thing tonight in irc.rizon.net, channel is #DRYHooves. Probably starting around 6pm PST-ish, though I will be hanging out for chatting while making some dinner before that.

My favorite children's television programming is Phineas and Ferb. This episode was just on and I desperately want an extended version of this song. Got a Platypus Controlling Me

you know, I wasn't so sure about that Rango movie when I first saw a poster for it, but that trailer makes me seriously consider seeing it for my birthday

Yes, Tank, yes!
This is a fantastic show.
Also, I have heard that you and VoC are near Augusta, GA. I am visiting there for a week and a half starting on Sunday. Are you up for hangouts?
Considering how big this MLP thing has gotten, I felt obligated to watch a few episodes.
As far as cartoons for children, it's a decent show, especially compared to its competition.
Beyond that, I have no idea what everyone's on about. The writing and dialog isn't that great. The art's clean and makes decent expressive use of eyes, but its nothing to write home about. Really lacking in solid comedic element save for a few very small throw-away gags/characters.
I might be able to understand people watching it and talking about it like any other show we have threads for, but this intense fandom out of nowhere is absolutely confusing to me.

Oh well, to each their own I guess.
I'm not into it as much as the other people here, so I can't speak for them, but the only explanation I can give is that it pierces my black heart with sugar, colors, and joy.

It kinda confuses me too. I don't know why, I don't ask why, I just run with it.

On a very special episode of My Little Pony, Twilight learns that poaching isn't all fun and games.
I read about this in a book!

The Saddle menaces with Spikes of Bones and Onyx.
There is an Engraving of a Pony on the saddle. The Pony is screaming. The Pony is on fire.
This refers to the burning of Dimple Puff in the year 251 AC.
I'm not sure what is going on but...pray continue
Ponies might DIE.
