I need to know this dirty Dhalgate now that I'm offracing protoss. Klyka kicked my fastexpanding zerg ass with it once in a lobby. I can't find it in the thread though and search is disabled, do you think you could write it down again please?
I love how you still remember that.
Haha, I remember because it was impressive how much it fucks FE Zergs over on anything but a large map. I was stunned by the timing of it.
But is that build made from only one gate? It seems a bit dangerous.
Also, we need more lobbies. They should all be focused on teaching Movitz how to clown things up.

Haha...guineapig just stomped a marine tank push by 1 rax ghost expanding. Had three ghosts and a couple of marines and marauders. Sniped every single marine and cleaned up the tanks with his small amount of bio.
Frack, how many times have you bought this game now?
3 times ^_^
Maybe a 4th soon
Its my opinion that blizzard needs money, they are an upstart company and anything i can do to help them break through that tricky first year is supporting growing industry.
I've yet to see a TvZ on Plateau where the terran pushes through the 2 rock backdoor and loses. It's such an incredible spot to exploit for T.

I believe in the team league there was a terran who lost while doing it...and he was the one who claimed his strategy was unbeatable on that map no less.
I just played a game with a Terran in it who had 3500 games, it blows my mind. Say that every game is 15 min long on average (counting low) and that still amounts to 5 h a day.
What...the...fuck....
Ed: Dude was ranked gold btw (400 games). This was a team game and he had 2500 of his games in 3on3, which makes for even longer than 15 min games.
How do you find the time to do this!! It's repulsive and impressive at the same time.

He's probably one of those guys that quit 5 minutes after the opening bell of each game to get enough wins for portraits.

Ehhh... Byun was awful in that. Losira had double his food pretty much the entire time. He could afford to just suicide his forces into that valley over and over and over again, even though it was horribly cost ineffective. He could've done anything and won. He could've ultra'd the front. I'm not convinced.

Right, that's true. In team games you can spam for portraits. I didn't think of that.
He did indeed have some weird thing I've never seen before as his profile pic.

Wow, that build order tester is really really helpful. I've been having trouble fending off early aggression (mainly due to just not having enough stuff out to stop it). So I ran a normal 3 gate or 2 gate/robo build over and over again until I was getting into the 40-60 food range without any major bumps.
Man, did it immediately pay off. First game on ladder and my opponent did some 2 rax early marine pressure. For once, I didn't panic as I had a few sentries out to delay him until I was able to get my immortal out, and once I did I was able to crush his attack and then slowly build towards a death ball victory later on.

That's what zerg is supposed to do. He saw an opportunity, and used it to expand like zerg's should. Byun had two choices, try to push the rocks, or expand himself and avoid the back. If he expanded Losira would have just overrun the middle.

Byun put zero pressure on him. Byun gave Losira that opporunity. And he could've expanded just fine. Put a bunker or two at the rocks or just a couple of siege tanks and you're safe. Easy does it. As zerg you do not want to be the one attacking up a ramp. Byun just played shitty.

I love how tangible improvement is in this game.
And this is the mistake a lot of people make.
They say "Oh I feel like I'm not getting better" when in actual fact they're just not putting in the effort to get better.
You won't make significant improvements without putting in work outside the game. Learning build orders, practising them in solo situations until the build itself is solid to execute.
broodwar pros practice the same builds over and over again, all day, everyday
if someone asked you to expand while building 50 zealots and 44 probes without getting supply blocked or missing a single unit 10 games in a row by yourself how perfect would you be, how about after hundreds of ladder games
So, is there some way of selecting custom games that I haven't figured out? You really only see ten games at a time? It's impossible to play anything more than 25 items down the list, much less search for something obscure. Whoever designed this system is an idiot.

Click More.
But yes, you're not likely to find players for games much further than 20 or so down the list because people are too lazy to click More. Its a dumb system and the original WC3 one worked much better.

The limed is correct.
If you create the game, though, you can search for the map you want to play, and then you just hope there are enough people willing to wade through the Join Game screen to actually get a full game.

qxc is pretty good yeah

"That is a weird place for a macro hatch, any paticular reason?"
"No, not really. Not reason not to put it there though."

THIS is what they are like, 4th placement game
It is really hard to ff with the lag
Stream just keeps on lagging for me, though it seems to be on Guinea's side and not the recast.

What does he do?
The idea is to make TvT sort of like a ZvT.
I'm not exactly sure it's actually viable at top levels, but it is pretty fun.
Watch the Day[9] Daily about it!
It's a 2 Factory-2 Starport, no bio, no Tank build that appears to be extremely effective against bio-heavy builds.

He's beat some top players with it.
Far be it from me to judge what does and doesn't work at the top levels, but it's always cool to see people rethinking the mirror matches.

That was amazing. Apart from the final game, was kinda anticlimactic.
