tactics ogre: let us cling together comes out for the psp next week and i'm so dang excited for it. have the ps1 version, but it'll be balling to play it on the go and also mess around with the updated content. you can rewind up to 50 moves back! play through different story branches without having to go through tedious poop! god, i love silly console srpgs
Not at all. My definition of RPG is a lot tighter then most. I don't consider Fallout 3 or Oblivion to be RPGs but they show up on all of the XBOX 360 best RPG lists.
I have Lost Odyssey. Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata and Tales of Vesperia but no 360.
I'm currently playing Phantasy Star IV (just got to an icey planet), Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker (just took the pledge), Final Fantasy X-2 (currently in chapter four) and Shadow Hearts: Covenant.
Once I beat them, I think I'll start playing Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call (aka Nocturne).
I want to play the old Genesis Shadowrun game. I hear neat things.
I hate starting this argument but the SNES version is far superior.
this is pretty much the wrongest opinion ever. genesis version was far superior, snes version was lame as hell. sorry. in fact, just the decker/hackin parts of the genesis version were better than the whole snes version of the game
I've been trying to finish Lost Odyssey, which has required a brand new playthrough because I lost my save games.
It's... I don't know, I really enjoyed it my first go around, but this time I just can't get into it. Which is too bad, because I do think it's a genuinely good game, but for some reason it ain't doing it for me.
actually, they were both great, but i just loved the genesis version more because it was truer to the pen and paper shadowrun, which i was obsessed with back then. also, i liked the genesis combat a bit more than the snes

Dammit, lostwords you're entitled to your opinion but I strongly disagree.

Tales of Vesperia is probably the best RPG on the 360.
I'm close to finally finishing Dragon Age, ready for the sequel, then I'll move on to Fallout Vegas which has been sitting there for months. I'm pretty much just a western RPG guy, JRPGs bore the shit out of me.

I'm ready to do something with Fallout: New Vegas. I'm not going to finish it, I can tell but the trade-in value is already crap. I wish Goozex was better about getting newer games.

Oh god if this thread turns into 'WHAT IS AN RPG' I'm going to start punching people.
Every other time I've played it it's been with one or two friends around for most of it, gettin' help with puzzles and shit
as such I only remember roughly 20% of how to do shit.
I want Persona 4 Portable, I refuse to get it for my PS2 because I want to hold off for the portable version.
Man I want to replay Persona 3 Portable as the female character but now that I know the ending it doesn't feel worth doing.
level up this dick
I consider them some of the finest RPGs ever made.
This is by my personal definition of what an RPG is though so many people disagree.
What is punching really?
are they stat heavy
But that's just like, my opinion man.
(For those keeping score, the best RPGs are Nocturne and Bloodlines, by eastern and western standards respectively.)
Same with Resonance of Fate.
Buying that game.
