The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I'm going to be getting some Microsoft Fun Bucks later this week and I would like to pick up a few more indie games with some of the left over points. Anybody have any recommendations? I like just about everything.
Off hand (I'm at work so I can't doublecheck) I have already bought:
Breath of Death
Mama and Son Clean House
Shoot1Up
All the Radiangames except the newest one
That 2 character puzzle platformer that looks like a Gameboy game
That baby launching game
Another shooter that I can't remember the name of (Expendable or something similar)
Gerbil physics
Urban Space Squirrel
I Made a Game with Zombies in it
Some FPS post apocalyptic game that I can't remember as I only played it once
Fish Listening to the Radio (I think I ended up buying it)
I'd love some more nice 2d platformers or really clever puzzle games, but anything will do. Except don't bother recommending Cthulhu Saves the World as I'm already planning on buying that one .
Also gotta second Platformance : Castle Pain, I that little gem.
In addition, I vote for Zombie Estate- play it with a mate though, epic stuff! Isometric pixel-based shooter where you roam around this house & garden while waves upon waves of increasingly numerous, murderous and dangerous zombies & monsters assault you from every direction. You can purchase some fantastic weapons between rounds, some of them are crazy times. Totally awesome!
Non-mentioned decent indie games include Miner Dig Deep, where you just dig and dug for treasure, and The Deep Cave, which is a IWBTG//VVVVVV/MeatBoy-esque experience.
Just because a title is popular does not mean it's not an indie game. Unless you have a different definition of what 'indie' means; I've usually taken it to mean that it's made by 1 or 2 guys in their garage and not by a video game company, unless there is a different meaning I'm unaware of.

Xbox Live Arcade has a separate "Indie" section. Full XBLA releases aren't considered indie on their marketplace.

Wow, that is strange and good to know! The More You Know
If you haven't checked out the Indie game section you totally should. There's loads of amazing games in it (and loads and loads and loads of crap - which is why threads like this exist)
I do have Miner Dig Deep - totally forget that one - played the crap out of it. And Super Meat Boy is fun - but yeah I was really looking in the indie section.

Also there's a trivia game called "What the?!" that's kinda funny, and fun if you have people to play multiplayer with.
For platformers:
Apple Jack
Arkedo Series - 03 Pixel!
Arkedo Series - 01 Jump!
Platformance: Castle Pain
For puzzle:
Halfbrick Echoes
Hexothermic
That ought to keep you busy for quite some time. Halfbrick Echoes & Hexothermic are especially great games that nobody played.

Yes, Epic Dungeon is excellent. Best RPG on the service...besides my own, of course.
