Duplicate Screen on Mac

I've set up my wifes Mac to connect to the TV so we can watch videos. When I do, the TV becomes an extension of the computer monitor, however I would much rather it would be a copy of the original screen. Is there a way I can set this up?

Look in System Preferences -> Displays -> Arrangement tab. Make sure Mirror Displays is checked.
