My mind is stupid for have read state and not premier.
In any case, I have a question for any of you who have played ARMA. Are Humvee guns actually useful in that game? I really love opening up on enemies with that gun but with almost everyone carrying an AT gun and the crazy accuracy of guns in this game it's just a great way of getting killed.
A competent humvee team (driver, co-driver, gunner) can wreck house in Arma. The thing can of course have all sorts of weapons mounted, usually it'll be something like an M60 or M240, and when used properly they are absurd weapons platforms. But then we're talking about a game where you will frequently engage people at ranges of 200m-300m with your assault rifles (accurately) and the main reason you have a SAW in your fireteam is to lay down suppressing fire. Which the aforementioned giant machineguns are amazing at. They are still super weak to AT weapons but you wouldn't waste AT on a hummvee when you can just shoot the crew.

Is there a specific night or time for bfbc2 on the PC?
My cousin got me back into it, and the blood lust returned after a few shotgun medic rampages.
I miss the angry dome.

The Humvee is great in BC2, I will usually kill 3 or more people before dying if I quickly surprise them, and it's only me changing seats on it.
It really helps to have a stable machine gun almost anywhere you want in this game.
I don't know if there are proper BC2 nights, but last night we played quite a while, and had some really good games as always. This is a game where you can parachute onto an ATV and jump over a hill with it. Best game.

The only thing funnier than being votekicked/banned for using a CG on a pub server is when a votekick/ban fails to remove me and I continue to gold star the CG at the same time I down an Apache. Glorious, glorious tears.

I know this has probably been done by kajillion other people, but last night I used a quad as a C4 delivery vehicle against a tank. I jumped off and detonated with perfect timing achievable only by dumb luck. I felt like I was John fucking McClane.

So um, you HAVEN'T gold-starred the CG then, Warcry?
Got it get it done somehow, son.
No, I have not platinumed the CG yet. I think I have about three gold stars on it. I never use the M60, CG, VSS or AN94 except in retaliation to people who abuse the shit out of them. All those weapons make the game just plain easy. I much prefer to use guns such as the XM8 LMG, the AUG and the bolt action snipers. I've platinumed all the pistols, including the M93R. I've also platted the 40mm shotgun, the M95, the M16A2, XM8 P and the 870 C. A challenge is fun, rolling people with OP weaponry just feels bad. Plus using shitty guns makes your aim a hell of a lot better.

Well your post just confirms two things:
1. You clearly think you're a better person than me... because of how you play a video game. Maybe you are, but I won't use Bad Company 2 as the yardstick to measure moral character. I mean come on dude; it's the last weapon I haven't achieved a gold star on yet. I never played on the Dome or That Guy's server and used it because I know the stigma it carries. Heck I even created crazy Carl Gustaf server banners. But whatever, keep doing what you doing and bragging about your skills and your jawsome PC, and:
2. I was doing against it pubbies. It's a victimless crime.

This is basically what I do whenever I'm on a shitty team (360). Which happens a lot, because no one knows how to play this game. "What do the giant flashing letters mean again? Who cares, I'm gonna snipe from our spawn. Oh hey a tank! I'm going to use our team's tank to snipe from our spawn."
Or I just do it whenever I have free time in a match, because it is the best. I've gotten pretty good at it.
The ATV is the best anti-tank vehicle in the game. It is also the classiest way to deal with medic trains.
but I won't use Bad Company 2 as the yardstick to measure moral character.
Frankly I think it is fair to say that you are of an inferior breed if you do not use M14 exclusively. I mean, automatic weapons? That is just so brutish.
Just finished the Single. That was suitably satisfying.
Now, tell me the secrets of multi.
1. Every weapon is overpowered,
2. Unless you're using it.
Also use the spot key.
Also be prepared to die a lot. No joke, there will be times when your life is measured in seconds if you're unlucky.
Follow your squadmates, unless they're camping far far away from the action. But don't be stupid, if they are rushing into a suicidal situation, stay the hell away unless your name is Butch or Sundance.
Maps are huge, so spend some time to explore. There are plenty of spots that you can take cover in and flank enemies.

It is also very important to harass any edge-camping snipers on your team. Break out the tracer dart and light them up like Christmas trees, or hit them with endless smoke grenades. You can just stand in front of them if you like.
It is an important game mechanic that people overlook. They don't spot, they have motion mines that they never use, and the vast majority of them can't hit a moving target. They must be made to feel shame. The only good wookie is a shotgun wookie.
Whelp, played part of one round. Spot key was about the most useful thing I did, when I managed to press it before dieing. I was on a team that was getting spawncamped pretty hard, never got very out of the spawn zone before exiting out. :P

It's hard starting out with the base classes because you need to unlock things like the drill, tracer dart, and medkit, etc. Just remember that you get points for other stuff than just killing mans; You get 20 points just for spotting an enemy and then they get killed. You can level 10 stages pretty dang quick once you get your medkit and you drop it mear an MCOM or flag.
I can't believe I'm going to recommend this, but you might (unless you hate this sort of thing) play recon and hang back and practice spotting. You won't be in the heart of the action but you will be able to practice spotting and get a feel for things like bullet drop, and at the same time understand the flow of the maps. Granted, every game is different but learning the maps will help your play immensely. Then you can get in the thick of it with your M60 and Carl Gustav launcher and everyone will like you*.
*This part is untrue.
edit: Houn, can you PM me your soldier name? I'd like to shoot mans with you.

Step one, play medic.
Step two, find a squad with an assault in it.
Step three, follow him. Drop medkits every time he stops, then watch his back. Spot as often as possible and use your lmg to lay down cover fire for him. You'll get points like crazy and stay to unlock things. This strategy gets even more profitable when you unlock the defibrilator.
If he dies and you don't, run for cover. Stay alive for ten seconds and he can respawn on you.

Believe me when I tell you guns aren't imbalanced. The M60 has been shit for a while now. Same with the AN94. XM8 LMG is actually one of the best right now.
Look at my K/D, I can't be wrong. I have plenty of scoreboard screenshots if you need my CV.

I still haven't stopped doing this since Battlefield 2. You may want to branch out into other classes later and such, but this tactic is always viable if you're having trouble being useful in a match.
Jesus Tapdancing Christ, you have to unlock the Medkit and Defib as a Medic?!?
That's pants on head retarded.
Yeah, it's pretty dumb. Have to unlock all the super basic tools for each kit, which blows. But starting out as a medic is far and away the fastest way to unlock the starting perks and such and simultaneously learn the maps.

Listen son, we can't trust you with bandaging a paper cut until you have proven your competence through murdering metric fuckton of enemy combatants, alright?
Seriously though, I agree with your sentiment. How is requiring someone to unlock their classes' core abilities a good gameplay design?
The only good thing is that you should be able to unlock it relatively quick, doesn't quite excuse it though.
Best bet is to pick up kits from other people, their souls within include all weapons and perks they chose.
So yeah, you can find an XM8 LMG with Magnum ammo lying around there.
are you sure you gain their perks? I've never had my perks switch when I pick up another kit; ie, my explosive perks remain in effect when picking up another kit from Engineer. The previous effects of their perks might be in effect, such as their shotgun having double mag capacity until I reload or having 3 spare 40mm grenades, but they don't ever stay.
