I got the call from gamestop about the midnight release. I did that for Marvel, and the lack of sleep fucked up my body for a week. I have an exam on Tuesday. I think I can wait.
The best part was on one server that was really low population, the small group hardcore players staged a revolt, they said they would not participate and turn stuff in to help with the war effort unless the server paid them a ransom. a really fucking huge ransom. I am not sure where it went from there, but if the remaining people on the server didnt have the effort to open the gates without them, they probably couldn't afford the ransom.
The gates were set to open at the latest a date in the future, these hardcore guys didnt care as they had all the loot they ever needed. They ended up taking the safe bet, because the content for the hardcore in that release was balls

I am just saying calling someone out for not helping, when thousands of people, over more than 24 hours, have barely moved the release date up what, 2 hours? is kind dumb. It's not like a couple people are going to change what the outcome is, like previously stated valve will more than likely just tweak the algorithm if stuff isn't unlocking fast enough for their time frame.

Most of us working stiffs will have to wait until Tuesday night anyway, unless it somehow gets pushed forward enough to change it to Monday night. (Yes, I know that that's impossible if it only keeps knocking off 40-50 minutes, but let me hope that Valve will step in and tweak the numbers to reward a good effort.)
God, it's frustrating looking at the page and seeing so many people spread out over a bunch of the games. We're going to end up with a page full of "close but no cigar" with those damn bars.
