Her ult is kinda wonky half the time. When it lands, it's super nice - but when half the other team literally just keeps attacking/walking out of it, a little poop comes out.
The short range and rather annoying casting animation make it so that most of the times I think I'm gonna land a perfect stun it ends up barely hitting them for the slow or not at all.
TreeEskimo talking about how scary a possible Rammus gank is when the Rammus died on blue. Pro shit.
Now I know you come here just to mess with us!
He was way overemphasizing the threat the Rammus represented. After dying on the blue buff the Rammus probably couldn't gank till like...4:30,? And it wouldn't have been very effective because lololo Nidalee consta-100% HP.
But TreeEskimo talked about how he was playing scared because of Rammus ganks from like 3:00.
Rammus represents a threat from level 2 if he wants to, and in high level games, getting set behind is like more incentive to gank because it's the only way to get back ahead. He didn't know Rammus was AFK until later. I mean a gank was unlikely but with Akali's burst damage and Rammus' ability to stack CC it was still dangerous with Eski not having flash.

Ugh, he was talking about the threat that a Rammus can generally be, not in that particular game where they had 2 players go AFK early.
A Rammus that dies on blue buff isn't a threat early on...Rammus can't finish blue buff after he died, because of jungle creeps strengthening due to time. And Rammus jungles alright without blue buff, but it still would have taken him a while to get to level 3, and he probably would have been low on mana so he couldn't even necessarily powerball + taunt after hitting level 3.
/edit: A Rammus that started blue isn't going to be able to gank level 2, he has DBC. Unless you seriously think a level 1 powerball only or level 1 taunt only gank is scary....
So what's to stop a rammus going to golems, smiting one, killing the other and then ganking at level 2? I've seen Shaco's gank at level 1, Yis at level 1, Udyr at level 2. There is no law that says you need both neutral buffs to gank. You just need enemies that overextend.
You're assuming he took DBC level 1. Most Rammus players do this, but it's possible to do blue (with some help) with power ball.
If he took powerball level 1 and died on blue he's going to have a rough time hitting 2. And if he takes taunt over DBC at level 2 he's further screwing his ability to jungle

Why are you even arguing this?
Clearly Tree didn't realize that Rammus died at blue and continued to make his (very valid) point of how effective early Rammus ganks are.

but then he also played his valid point
when if he had noticed the rammus death he could have played without the fear of rammus ganks

Because he'd be screwing himself in the long-run for a short-term gamble? He'd pretty much have to back if he wanted to take either buffs after a powerball/taunt start, which is undesirable.

I've seen it done a number of times in high level games. Sometimes players take high risk/high reward gambles like that. Seems like the kinda thing Regi would do.

Hmm, I hope they turn on the co-op switch this week.
I think his point is that Tree isn't "pro" because he made a mistake. He felt it was his duty to make sure we knew that we were wrong about thinking Tree was a good player. I for one am glad that he brought this to my attention, my entire opinion about Tree has been changed, I see him for the terrible player he truly is now.
For this I thank you.

Rammus is also a bad ganker if he doesn't have powerball and taunt, however he has to take every level of defensive curl he can to be a good jungler. This means that level 4 is the first time he'd have all the skills.

I suppose the risk depends on how much the other jungler is paying attention. If I saw a level 2 Rammus gank I'd just go steal his blue or something because I know he's not going to be getting it for a while.

I thought it was amusing because he spent so long talking about how good his play was, that he was being cautious because of a Rammus, when the Rammus wasn't a threat at all.
It's actually the reason I don't like watching TreeEskimo. He's a good player but he seems to want to try and justify how every little thing he does is pro.

That is not at all what he does, it isn't even his attitude. He just likes to explain himself and explain why he does things, he never proclaims to be "pro" or anything like that and he does admit his mistakes. He even questions himself sometimes.
If the gank is successful and you get a kill, then you will likely level up and have extra money and can just go do the blue. If it fails, then your high risk/high reward gamble didn't pay off and you're behind regardless.

I think I'm hopping on tonight and riding the Luxbus. Haven't played for a few days since I got a new Xbox after my last one RROD'd and I bought NieR.
Luxbus is all about AP and CDR, yes? Zhonya's/Banshee's for defensive items depending on match-up?

No no! Don't sell yourself short. You've really opened my eyes on this one. I am stunned that I was listening to anything he says. His whole facade of being a good player and explaining what was going on in the game. I can see now that it was all just to blind me from seeing how truly horrible he is. It is obvious that he was carried up to the higher ELO on the shoulders of truly good players and now he is cashing in on their success. Truly Truly Outrageous.

And right as we're having this discussion Kayle puts herself WAY WAY behind with a super-extended level 1 gank. That's funny. Same basic principle and you see these kind of gambles a lot a high Elo.

I screwed around with making a stream on Own3d. It was a bit tricky to set up but once I had it up the quality was good and I could run it at a decent framerate.

It really is sad to see it even at his level. People like that Rammus & Malphite ruin the game.
This is just great to watch... Do very much wish Riot would stop failing so hard at managing this game.
Oh good VMan got a dodge (well, shitty for him, so complaint stands in a way)

my second game was okay
but by my third game I was 6/0 against teemo+tf and they surrendered at 20

it's the ushanka that makes it

As someone mentioned before, Morello's Evil Tome is probably a better fit, and I'd agree. On to the Luxbus!
