It was an issue that really never bothered me. I was just saying that I think it would be neat if they made the old dungeon sets a new tier of dungeon loot. Being all updated and fancy and all that.
So I just started playing this game again on Wednesday. I started a new character. A rogue. I fucking love it. Cata is the best expansion they have put out on the strength of the leveling grind alone.
I say this as god and truly without hyperbole.

Well shit; no I'm not. It's probably something that requires ridiculous amounts of materials to make, right?
(I'm at work behind a firewall, so I can't do this myself).

For the earliest one...Tailoring 300, 6 Bolt of Netherweave, 4 Golden Draenite, 4 Arcane Dust, 5 Silken Thread.

No, I wouldn't say that. Just some Netherweave, Golden Draenites, Arcane Dusts, and Heavy Silken Threads for the basic one.
The basic WotLK one requires Moonshroud, Spellweave, Ebonweave, Frozen Orbs.
The fancy WotLK one requires 12 Bolts of Imbued Frostweave, 4 Monarch Topazes, 4 Red Dyes, 2 Yellow Dyes, and 4 Iceweb Spider Silks.

Pretty reasonable, actually.
The important thing to note, you must be a tailor to ride one. If you make yourself one, and switch to another profession, you can't use it anymore.
Hey, stupid question time! The boa armor that changes type (mail to plate, leather to mail), do they HAVE to change? Like, if I gave the caster leather/mail shoulders to my druid from my shaman, would they change at level 40 or what?

They match what armor type you know. When my hunter hit 40, they stayed leather. However, as soon as I learned Mail Armor from the trainer, they became mail.

Fantastic, so the caster mail pieces are for 2 whole specs, both of them for the same class. Man, that sucks
So wait, which is it? First response said they have to change, you say they don't. I'm getting ready to buy these pieces and I'd just like to know before I go and get them enchanted and shit.

I haven't tried using them on a non-armor-switching class, so I honestly don't know. I just know on my hunter, they stayed leather until I actually learned Mail Armor from the trainer, and then they switched instantly.
Personal guess - if you equip it pre-40, you can keep it as leather, at least, for awhile. However, I'm guessing post-40, it switches to mail if it is not currently equipped. Just a guess, but the items do show as mail on the vendor at level 80-85. I have a feeling there is some wiggle room in the items' morphing code that takes into account having to train mail/plate and gives you some leyway.

I'm very curious how this works. I'll see if I can test on my 70ish rogue when I get home tonight. Just need to find the mail chest heirloom I have wandering around :P
I really want to play WoW. I just cannot for the life my find a reason to log on. I sadly dont have time to raid and there are just so many buttons now for pvp. Guess I can keep leveling alts and what not.
If anything, the patch seems to be coming in too soon. I don't want to end up again where they bang out a new raid every 3-4 months, and then the last one is supposed to last us over a year (icc)

But in currently itemized gear, that would be the bee's knees.
Hay Blizz y u no tel us wut 2 do?
I just want this back, with new stats.
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Yes, but most of the heirlooms don't work past lv80 so there's no reason to wear them after that.
I expect they'll change this in the near future. Possibly the next content patch.
I'd prefer the Corruptor set (t5) but wouldn't mind that one either, specially since i only managed to grab the helm & shoulders in TBC
It's not that great

The basic carpet is from the trainer. The Frozen one (last I checked) was sold in Dalaran for the low low price of 6 frozen orbs.
It's funny because she's wielding a blue mace from a rep vendor...

can I use the plate heirloom on my warlock?
Whats the word (if any) on the next big patch?
