I think their move toward smaller raids probably helps. If you wind up at the end of the expansion cycle needing more content, it's easier to push out something new if you're only putting three or so bosses in a raid instance.

I wouldn't really expect 4.1 to go live until May. Which would be 6 months after Cata release, which is a good timespan in my eyes. If 4.1 hits in late April, I'll be surprised; if it's before Easter I'll eat my hat.
Rebirth needs to be instant cast and useable in forms.
Kind of surprised that this wasn't changed when they added in the DK one since I assume the reason that it's instant on the DK is so as a tank they don't get rocked while trying to res.

Besides the Legendary Staff and the Ignite change, this is probably one of the most exciting things I've seen.
Well, the DK one just raised people as a ghoul. Does anyone ever seriously use that? I'm assuming it would be a nice way to add dps, but I've never seen anyone use it.

I have been up twice as a ghoul on all my characters just once as my rogue and once as my warlock I really did not know what to do so I pressed the blow up button on my warlock and jumped around like an idiot not knowing what to do as my rogue

When the expansion first hit and we were all still in shitty gear that probably wouldn't have cleared the queue requirements, we did H SFK and Raise Ally was the only reason we killed the first boss.
Glyph of Raise Ally is now Glyph of Death Gate, and makes Death Gate cast 60% faster. - That's kind of stupid. What they should do is make it a glyph that doesn't require you to go to the fucking DK area to Runeforge past level 85.
Bear Swipe: Fuck yeah! AoE control is a bit of unBEARAable right now, so hopefully this helps a lot.
Spells bound to a key now start to be cast when the button is pressed down by default, instead of waiting for the key to go up. This is an option that can be turned off in the Interface menu under Combat. Mouse clicking has not changed and operates on mouse click up. - This is actually pretty sweet.
Cooldown on Spell Reflection increased to 25 seconds.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I know a lot of warrior tanks are going to be ecstatic over getting a magic damage reduction cooldown in Shield Block. But fuckin a man, increasing the coolodwn on spell reflect by 2.5? God damnit!

Pummel? But... my shield bash... and my gag order... how the hell am I supposed to pull casters into position with my heroic throw on cooldown now? Hell, there's barely any point to taking gag order if there's no shield bash and it doesn't work with pummel.

I'm glad that this is a toggle, because I play by holding down the buttons, then releasing them to cast. I feel like it gives me more control for some reason.

Are there really a lot of casters with multiple schools of magic that you need to worry about? The school lockout on pummel is longer than the silence would be anyway.

Ok, to be perfectly honest... I know NOTHING about pummel. Absolutely nothing. Been playing the same warrior since vanilla, and I only left defensive stance to charge and to break fears. When they gave me warbringer and beserker rage in any stance, I never left Def stance again. So if it couldn't be used in Def stance, I didn't use it, thus I have never used pummel in my life. I didn't even know it HAD a school lockout :P
I'll...I'll just shut up now, and go sit in a corner polishing my shield.

I think Blizzard is trying to backtrack on the LFD tool if you ask me.
I dont think they are trying to back track it. But it is a way for them to limit JP/hour gains. You cant tell me it takes 30min to find a group across multiple servers. It has to have an internal CD.

Uhhh okay, I'll bite.
What makes you say that?
yes please do tell
That's all I have to say really. It feels like the design choices in most areas tend to have a negative impact on the tool, and the incentive for guild runs are obviously better. Particularly the changes with the tanking system on each class seems to make tanks either stop tanking or simply only run with guilds, effectively killing the tool because ..well.. look at the queue times without tanks.

There's no point to that. It doesn't account for why healers and tanks don't have any such issue, and if that was the *real* goal, there's way too many ways to circumvent it.

My very first thought was, "What are they trying to make the queues instantier?"
This just pretty much made me stop wanting to play the warrior I'm leveling through LFD because, why bother? My job is difficult as it is balancing threat from retards that blow their load all over the first guy before I even get a hit in (which is usually the shield slam ability anyways), I'd rather just not even do it, I can quest and hit 85, then do dailies. Thanks Blizzard. You continue to be a bastion of intelligence in every decision you make.

I usually run gruild groups with my tank but yeah it just surprises me that there would be that low of a population in tanks. I guess this does have some truths as I was queueing with an alt with a friend as an alt healer and we had a 15min queue.

Yep. A buddy of mine wanted to level with my BFF and I but he hates PvP servers: No worries, we'll level through LFD. Oh gg.... The last random we did (Throne) we get this Warrior that insists on charging the CC target.
Me: Um, buddy we're sheeping one of the healers dude.
Warrior: "You're nerfing my damage if I can't charge in and whirlwind"
Me: Um, you're charging and whirlwinding *1* mob. The rest are over here, with me, the tank.
Warrior: "Whatever, link meters."
Me: Buddy you're last, you're aoeing *1* mob. And letting it heal.
Me: Attempt to votekick.... Fails.
Other random DPS: I hate votekicking people, even if they're idiots.
The 3 of us: ...
(I wont tank Heroics on my DK without a full guild run, don't need that kind of stress tyvm)
I don't understand what you guys are referencing for the comments about LFD. And the issues with building threat on a mob before people rip it away from you.
The Spell Reflect Cooldown is probably a PvP change. Prot Warriors are awesome members in a Rated BG Team, their utility rises exponentially in correlation to the amount of enemies present. They can lock down a lot of stuff, and most casters are completely useless against them. Only Frost and Fire(really good Fire) mages can deal with them, everything else just has to stand there and slowly die.
Raping the cooldown on spell reflect allows casters to actually do something against prot warriors, and cuts down on Arms/Fury survivability. It usually took 1-2 cyclones for a druid to figure out it is impossible to Cyclone me, and to try it will just result in him floating in the air. After 4.1? Warriors are going to be sitting in a shit ton more CC.
The other explanation is that they designed a Raid encounter that is really heavy on magic damage, and through their testing Warrior tanks were doing horrible against. So they gave a magic reduction to shield block. Then they were like Holy shit, Warriors are retarded strong against spell casters, so lets make Spell Reflect less useful.
I'm going with the PvP option, because all 1000 people that do rated BGs are what really matter to this game.

This is a dead horse topic but I never can quite grasp why, in a game where the epitome of skill is little more than being awake and slapping ones genitals on the keyboard, people can suck so infinitely.
That said, I enjoy tanking LFD because I can feel superior to the plebians I'm running with and inform them in excruciating detail how I can tell they are bad based on how recount data and watching them. I think it's maybe a telling thing that the only people left to tank LFD are awful, elitist bastards like myself.

I zone in – they are in front of 1st boss, and there is: DK tank, Mage DPS1, Mage DPS2, Priest healer and me.
We engage soon after I arrive. I am unbuffed (as in, I cast MotW, they cast nothing) and unfooded and un-elixired. I do 10k DPS but die when the boss is on 2% because I receive no healing from unavoidable but repeated being-thrown-by-the-boss. Priest is OOM, DK tank complains he did a lot of self-healing.
Mage 1 shows DPS meters
I am averaging 10k. Mage 1 is averaging 9.8k. Mage 2 is averaging 7k. Tank is on about 5k.
Mage 1 shows healing meters.
I am on 28% of healing done because I used tranquillity once during the fight. DK is on nearly the same. The priest is clearly not pulling his weight (and no, it wasn’t a disc-absorb-instead-of-heal thing). We check priest gear – reason he goes OOM fast is that he is wearing no +spirit gear. At all. We question this, but decide to continue anyway (after all, only I died, so something must be going right).
Reaching the next boss (croc) the priest is OOM before the first adds wave. Everyone dies. Priest, without being prompted, says “fuck you then” and leaves group. I can only assume he was being whispered. Another random priest arrives. We gather, buff up, and pull. Priest drops group without a word just as dust cloud starts. We wipe.
I should mention at this point that since I entered until now, Mage1 and Mage2 have been slagging each other off massively. Both used me topping meters on first boss to taunt one another (“lols u lost to dudu”). I casually ask whether they hate each other or are in love, as both seem quite likely. Neither replies, but tank laughs his ass off. I run back and res the tank (one of those that doesn’t know the entrance, it seems), or at least can’t be arsed.
Mage2 drops group and we get a lucky combo of Warlock and Priest in 80% epics from the same guild. Croc boss dies, as does his pygmy chum. We clear through to the western courtyard.
Tank marks a pack and says “Skip these by hugging the wall”. Everyone except Mage1 hugs wall. Mage 1 was changing music, comes back, doesn’t read chat and opens up on marked pack, at the same time as we pull the next one. We wipe.
Run back, mage and tank slagging each other off and blame healer (not sure why though). Tank does not run. I res tank. Priest body-pulls the group we skipped. Wipe.
Run back. I res tank. We clear to boss. Mage says “Ignore fire bird, I will kite + kill it solo. Don’t taunt it.” We pull, tank taunts it, we last until after first shadow phase, by which time healer is OOM from healing through firebird damage. I die because as we phase change I am in an AoE and can’t escape in time (and healer has no spare mana ofc). Everyone else dies. Healer says “OOM”. Argument ensues regarding correct timing of “OOM” calls versus correct timing of defensive cooldowns. Tank appears to consider Army of the Dead to be his only cooldown, and keeps saying he won’t use it in case he needs it.
Run back, I res tank. Tank fails to accept, and runs back. He pulls boss before we are ready (no mana, no buffs, healer has not yet reached us having stopped to loot something) and is killed very quickly, as are the rest of us.
Run back. I res tank. Priest body-pulls the pack we skipped, and instead of dying runs to the group. We wipe.
Run back. Tank does not run, I res him. Mage 1 body-pulls the pack because he is changing music on mount while on autorun (he blinks, and types “oops, music + autorun”). Warlock types “skipping packs speeds up instance eh?”. Warlock and priest quit group, I watch pack kill mage 1 and tank, then drop group myself before they reach me.
