huh, I never knew what subUrbia was about. wiki says it is a modern version of The Iceman Cometh. no wonder it's depressing, that play is like suicide in script form.
I am sad to say I don't know to what extent is it, I had no idea that it was meant to be that
but yeah sorry for the confusion above I wouldn't say that about the community characters
check this out: The Iceman Cometh. I can't recommend this enough, it is the only full-length faithful adaptation of the play and it has an amazing cast.

Every time I think about the world before I was alive I'm amazed the Land of the Free had until recently though a husband could force sex upon his wife legally.
Like...crazy.

At one point we also felt there with nothing wrong with owning a human being.
These things are not new!

Yeah but that was a longer time ago than this one so because of it's proximity it feels more real to me.
Not that we live in a post slavery world. Just like we don't live in a post legal spousal rape world.

Oh hey who knew cruise ships are dangerous places for people looking to not be raped.
I'm pretty sure that "enclosed space with nowhere to run to and no access to authorities or allies" pretty well defines a significant number of dangers.

So I finally got around to posting a bunch of photos from my trip to Korea and Thailand:
There is one thing we saw sitting on a leaf in the forest in northern Thailand that I would very much like to know what the fuck it is.
I just poured myself a cup of what I thought was coke.
Turns out someone had emptied red wine into a coke bottle? o_O
Oh well.
I made the same mistake when I was on holiday in France when I was six.

I think I've been thinking about it the wrong way. In person it really really looked like it was some sort of critter and not plant life. But its probably entirely just something that came off a plant.

Goddammit, I've been trying to get Dawn of War II working on my computer for the past hour now and I still can't get it to download my Windows Live profile.
Whoever decided Games for Windows Live was a good idea needs to be beaten and humiliated in front of their friends, family, and neighbours in the street, lashed several times, shot in the head, and then drawn and quartered just for good measure.

I found it really cathartic, like in the classic Greek sense of the word. It is bleak but not in a hateful way.
Because it's old news?
People were saying it a lot ages ago, when they got it.
Well obviously no one said while I was here. :x
Should live in a better time zone Aussie.
this is true, but it can be gotten past pretty easily

Someone who drank too much wine, perhaps. Hell if I know. I presume it's from the empty wine bottle I found under the table.
It wasn't, like, filling up the whole cola bottle. Only the bottom quarter, maybe.
I made the same mistake when I was on holiday in France when I was six.
This 12 hour period for famous deaths has been a little sucky.
oh shit
is that really true, RMS? Fuck.
It is.
The link's in the Doctor Who thread.
i am trying to make an idvd video up kind of nice with a main menu
the menu and title song are like, less than 200 mb
but encoding like 1.2 gb worth of video (about one hundred fifty six minutes worth) to 'dvd' format or whatever takes over 5 gigs
dang
don't want to play LoL
music too loud.
no PS3 games that I can actually see on my TV.
books not fulfilling
