Anyone notice how some things (mattresses and the copy machines in Highrise) are totally impenetrable? A steel wall, yeah that makes sense, but bullets should obliterate copy machines.
I don't know about you, but I always buy a bullet proof printer. Its a lot more expensive, but I think the advantages are apparent.

FFT iPad is pretty great. The game performs very well on my iPad 2, no noticeable slowdown or performance problems in the first few battles. The only complaint is the blue bars at the top and bottom were enlarged to frame the psp resolution. I had been under the impression it was taking so long because they were messing with the aspect ratio to use more of the iPads screen. But I'm okay with it's current implementation, and it couldn't have come at a better time, since im going to be stuck in bed next week recovering from surgery.

Anyone else having trouble running Fairway Solitaire on a Touch? Crashes every time I try to load the first level and I have reinstalled a half dozen times. Weird.

Yup - same problem here. 4G on 5.0.1, crashes constantly. Only been able to play 6 holes.

I have no problems with Fairway Solitaire on my iPhone 4G. I have 5.0.1 as well.

I ended up going with the iPad version for just this reason.
Beat Sneak Bandit is just delightful. It's a rhythm puzzle platformer, in a visual style that reminds me of a cross between Sly Cooper and Psychonauts. Very catchy music, and much more intricate puzzles than I would have imagined possible in a game with a one-button interface.

Same. The controls aren't intuitive for me. And is there a way to turn off the sound?
Why would you want to turn off the sound? The music is awesome.

I'm boycotting Ziggurat on principle just because every 5 minutes I get Twitter spammed by that stupid stupid death message. I really don't need constant updates as to how you're faring in a video game.

I boycot basically any twitter integration for this reason and generally unfollow people who partake.

Just got 117 in Ziggurat. PRevious high score was 70-something. The controls are kinda maybe starting to click.
The death sound makes me not want to play again right away, though, so every time I play I take a long break after.
In other news, the Mrs and I have been playing a ton of DrawSomething (in addition to our regular Scramble With Friends and Words with Friends games). I like it, but it could be so much better. Makes me want to make a different version of the same concept.
Well... Just picked up an iPhone so I will be trolling the op and recent posts here for a while.
Any standouts not mentioned in the op?

Oh, in other game news, recent mentions of Dungeon Raid got me playing semi-regularly again. I beat my previous high score, too. Still not a world-beater by any means, but I was pretty proud of my 62k.

Yea, Ghost Trick isn't mentioned in the OP.
You need to play Ghost Trick.
I'm sure some of these are in the OP, but these get my personal stamp of approval (among others, these are just off the top of my head): Ghost Trick, Dungeon Raid, Game Dev Story, Mega Mall Story, Venture Towns, Infinity Blade I/II, Monkey Island SE, Monkey Island II SE, Broken Sword The Director's Cut, Broken Sword II, Beneath a Steel Sky, Final Fantasy I/II/III, Carcassone, Angry Birds Rio, and Train Conductor.
I like Train Conductor 1 better than Train Conductor 2 USA, personally.
I picked up DDR S+ last night. Silly me didn't even realize there was a DDR game for iOS. It's pretty freaking awesome, although it's a shame that it only comes with three songs; I've already spent around $10 on DLC. But I am enjoying it, so it's worth it.

Finished Fairway Solitaire's main campaign last night. Now I get to go back and 3 star all the courses and beat the bonus courses.

A great thing to keep in mind with Ziggurat is the bigger your shot + the bigger the aliens' head = the bigger the explosion. And big explosions take out more aliens, so, you're pretty much ALWAYS better off charging big shots to clear the screen that lots of small shots. One big shot in the right place will ALWAYS save your ass.

Oh! Edo Towns is on sale for $0.99. I haven't played any of the other Kairosoft games. Is this a good one to try?
I am way addicted right now.
It's a simple city game and the general gist is that you want to set up overlapping combinations of buildings which grant bonuses to other neaby buildings as well.
So, I saw an ad on the PA main page for this Food Fight game. I checked it out, and its pretty awesome. Its an easy card battle game to get into, it reminds me of the card game from RAGE.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

Oh shit. Online RAGE-esque card games would not be good for my productivity.

So, 2 days later and I'm still hooked on Food Fight. I've had to charge my phone at least 6 times in the past 2 days... Its incredibly simple, but you just can't put it down.
My favorite thing so far is a hero card called Greasy Rider. Its a turkey who rides a motorcycle, and his special ability is that he's super stoned. And since he's stoned, as long as there's no bonus effect cards in play, all your units have a +2 yummies(ATK strength) rating.

Beat Sneak Bandit is fun, but just makes me want Patapon on iOS
I've been hoping for that for a while. It came out after I gave up on my PSP and sold it, and other than the FF Tactics remake, that's been the game that's most made me wish I still had the system.

Is it just called food fight? The only thing I could find looked like a clone of plants vs zombies, which doesn't sound like what you described. Maybe it's not available in my region.
