Seriously, my plan had been to roll with dual-factioned mains all along. I have nothing but commiseration for those of you attempting to solo a toon on Faeblight right now and stuck in the queue.
As a point of interest, you can have Guardian and Defiant characters on the same server. Well, you could in beta anyway.

Fair enough but there doesn't seem to be a big difference between splitting them up on different servers since the community will be split regardless...
Plus this way when one server is down I just play the other, been doing it in WoW for years.
It's pretty funny how they are releasing more servers, yet it won't solve anything for established guilds who have already decided where to decided to play. Just asking them to up and move to a new one, I don't want to imagine the logistics of that, especially when for all you know you're moving to a soon-to-be ghost town.
I think the guilds *cough* are at fault for committing to servers in the face of 5-8 hour queues. I don't see them getting better until a month after launch unless they forcibly split them
Man, if there's one thing this game has showed me, it's that I need to upgrade my PC.
Dunno how, though. Power supply might be bottlenecking me? I have 6gb of ram, 2.66ghz quad core now, GTX 460 graphics card... I feel like I should be getting more than 30 FPS on Medium graphics, even if there are a lot of people on the screen.
Weird thing is I went to low-quality renderer just to test it out and my FPS didn't improve at all.
Drivers are up to date. The power supply is the only thing that's in there that's old at 450w.
Any suggestions from you guys that have good system setups?

Your CPU is the bottle neck there. If the power supply was under powered, shit wouldn't be working.
I am running around with a [email protected], a gtx 280, 8gb ram and everything on ultra except for antialiasing and shadows, get down to 15 fps during heavy rifts, but its still completely playable.
So team Europe just went on a loot adventure to 'The Lake of Solace' or as we like to call it 'The Piñata paddling pool'. I think we racked up 3 epics and 12 shard first items or something like that and then the server went down.
Well..after playing most of the day my comp decided it needed a break and froze. #1050 in queue.. 4 hours. sigh, so much for getting up to do Iron Tombs tonight
603! The queue said 2 hours once. It's at 3 now. It was at 6, so hey!
edit: SO I'm thinking I'll start my cleric as an Inquisitor, then go shaman/templar/druid for my tanky spec. What goes well with Inquisitor? I didn't get to play it much in beta.
Is anyone else downloading what seems to be a massive patcher update? It gets to like 20% and then shits itself.
edit:
So how the hell do you actually get into the headstart? The beta client doesn't seem to work anymore. Do I need to use a retail client of some sort?
You have to uninstall the beta client and download the new one.
Oh goddamnit.
Like it didn't take enough time to download it the first time. I wish these goddamn developers would learn to just code some sort of access rights into their launchers, rather then make me reinstall the thing all over again. This is the third head-start where i've had that happen.
So, interestingly enough Ultra settings actually aren't all the way maxed out.
Awesome sauce- maxing all the settings and it still runs smooth.
What's your hardware like?
Dell XPS 8100. 8 gigs Ram, i7, Win 7, ATI 5700 series vid card.
Not top of the line, so it's a pleasant surprise. I was just trying to see if I could make it grind to a halt. I certainly wasn't expecting to not notice a performance hit.

Uh, this has been known and posted since open beta ended Monday....

This is what I was thinking.;-)
Oh oh 20 mins then I'm kicking it with the T6M woot!

My position in the que is number 1272 for Seastone.
Like, what in the goddamn hell I did not expect it to be this ridiculous.

In two hours (or so) I've gone from 1206 to 706. My queue time has gone from 6+hrs to 2.5hrs. /le sigh
Way to go, jerk.
Trion's big mistake was not randomizing the server names. People keep wanting to play on what they did in beta
Well that was a huge mistake, no offense but lol MMOs dont generally go smooth

I'm aware of MMOs not going smoothly on launch days, guy. But 8+hour queues? Jesus tap-dancing christ
That still a thing, right? Kids..schools?
The queues are stupid but that's solvable, apparently people are entrenched though.
The community manager said it "many servers have no queue but people aren't moving". I'm hoping they offer server splits or something
There were multi hour queues this afternoon while I was at work

Steam/PSN/XBL/Minecraft / LoL / - Benevicious | WoW - Duckwood - Rajhek
That's my hope.
I just got home from work. 2 hours OT.
Yeah, that one. Sorry, had my head in a textbook while posting. Never a good idea.
So, any Guardians, people in white, non-Defiants, those other guys on here?
I hope we will get some more members soon
Just do a "/who Planary Arcadia" when you are on Argent!
Good times, good times.
I want to know more PA people on Twitter.
c'mon euro people. we need more of you.

I want to make a nuke caster, looking at the op that would be pyromancer for single targets and stormcaller for aoe.
Is it better to main pyro and secondary storm?
Also how are the pvp servers, is it pvp in any open zone or something? Can you PvP in the PvE game (like request to fight kinda stuff)
