Although I do feel like Mordekaiser is somewhat easy mode... farming is easy, harassing is easy, team fights are easy, (spam skills, ghost enemy carry) but I do appreciate the compliment.
when you play morde, 90% of how well you do is how the enemy react to you
they need to know to constantly gank your overextended lane
because for god's sake, ALL your abilities push the lane
Pretty much this. I just went mid against morde as ashe. I couldnt really harrass him much, but I called either someone from top lane or bottom lane up all the time to gank him. Even if he is smart and goes back to his tower after pushing you can at least keep him from damaging your tower this way.
And there are too many bad morde's to count that just burn their ult on a target right away before they have the guarentee that they will die. As morde your ult is everything and getting the ghost is super important. Use the ult as a finisher.

I still have no idea why you want flat mana instead of scaling on Ryze.
The breakeven point is early enough that if you're in the solo, you'll spend enough time with them to make it worthwhile.

Try this:
run exhaust.
focus on W and get as much 1st level CDR as possible. The cooldown on W is 9 seconds flat at all levels, while the cloud lasts 7. This means that you can have overlapping clouds. So you kinda wander up and exhaust them, slap a cloud on them, spam some other stuff, then slap another cloud on them.

Just because I had 30 bucks to burn; I bought HoN and tried it out for a couple games.
Good lord what an archaic piece of shit. Towers aren't clearly defined in the minimap, champions tend not to stand out too well, there's no fucking recall button, the store is convoluted as fuck, there's no real caster scaling... The list goes on.
So I queued up for solo queue, i THOUGHT i did normal, but i ended up in ranked. I really did not want to try hard and just wanted to have fun.
Needless to say....this was the outcome
Best part of the game: Soloing Olaf in bottom, feasting him, killing him, teleporting to mid where people were fighting, and feasting on teemo. Gotta love CDR feast!

I enjoy the occasional HoN, but that's because Playeasy is boss at it and I only play a game with him carrying our entire team to victory. And I just play a support to help him win.
There are things good about it, but the items are very confusing/difficult to learn. That was the hardest part for me.
In other news, Maokai is still great.
I might try some Shaco and WW in the near future.

I started buying runes now because Kog Maw is pretty much my definite champion - how terrible am I for stacking up health only?

Vote-kicking is a very nasty thing to have in a MOBA. My very first HON match, I got inexplicably kicked for attacking the bottom lane. I dunno why. The game was going to restart anyway because our team had an AFK'ing Mexican player or something, and we were trying to push a game-restart vote.
now that I think about it nunu is a lazy bastard. the yeti does all the work and do we even care what is name is? no. nunu just sits on top and takes all the credit.
I wish the game would show how many times a player has played a game with a character they've selected (preferable practice/non-practice is seperated) so I know who's going to feed and atleast put someone better in the lane with them.
4 of us, one random who picked caitlyn, who never used traps, missed with the Q constantly, wandered around when all were missing...then the players like "well its my first time with her" like thats a defense for his shitty play.

but you at least need rylai's because, hilariously, rylai's stacks with the slow from miasma
