I find it highly amusing that they screwed up the Specialization section. They listed a few talents instead of the Specializations.
Totally. I stared at the "specialisations" for about three seconds with an eyebrow raised before I realised what had happened and chuckled.
Question: Do the flasks that rogues throw have a limited stock or not? Same goes for arrows, will there be the same system as was in DAO with an unlimited supply of basic arrows with the option to upgrade to limited-stock arrows?
Something I'm wondering about the rogue's Escape talent. If I were to backflip away from an ogre trying to charge my ass, would it still hit me if it turned out I was still in his way?
If you are in its way, yes. If you backflip out of its path, no.
Hi, evilthecat, welcome to four months ago. Don't worry, we won't tell you what happens. It'll be a surprise.

Yup, or maybe I was just too late hitting it in the demo.
My respect for bioware just went down the toilet.
do with the trailer what you will.
That is bundled DLC. The Exiled Prince is free for everyone who ordered the Signature Edition of the game. If you didn't order the Signature Edition, then you have to buy it seperate. We've know about this since November.

ok, this is the first i'm hearing about this.
There doesn't appear to be a signature edition available over steam, however, so digital purchasers are getting screwed over.
i actually really thought the default lady hawke was pretty good.. the male hawke was alright, would probably change his beard and make his head not so giant

Unfortunately, you can't actually edit the defaults, you have to use one of the other presets as a base. I was hoping to change the beard too.

I really liked LadyHawke, but don't care for MaleHawke at all, so not being able to keep the base design is absolutely no problem for me.
i think male hawke looked ok when he had on his exaggerated armor in the begining, probably because you cant see how small his neck is. , but once he is out of that armor, it really shines.
I wonder...I think I'll try a no mage playthrough. Alchemy's still in right?
It's a bit different than in DAO as you have merchants/a specific merchant do it for you so you can't just whip up potions in battle or anything, but yeah it's still there.
Echoing the "post a list of what transfers over from an old save please" request. Just finished Awakening myself and while I was pretty happy with my end save in Origins, I think I may have to redo some of the end choices.
Specifically I was wondering if any of the DLC would affect DA2 (I can't see why it would, but I'm still curious). I already have Shale and Warden's Keep, and it doesn't seem like the any of the other DLC is worth purchasing, but if there are choices that would impact my DA2 playthrough I might consider getting it.

As far as I know imported data will be from Origins, Awakening, Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt. The latter two are pretty weak.

So it looks like someone unlocked the character creator in the demo, I'm kinda tempted to give it a whack. Over on the bioware forums there's been a few decent characters, a few awful characters, and the family resemblance does work... but the results are frightening.

We know that the save state carries over in this order:
Origins > Awakening > Golems of Angorak > Witch Hunt
We don't know what transfers, exactly, but I'm guessing that there's ME2 levels of acknowledgement of what was done previously... IE it will reference a lot of world state stuff, but those things won't drastically alter the plot.
Most specifically, it will definitely address who is the ruler of Ferelden and what the fate of the Warden was. Beyond that... I dunno.

Has there been any word on how DA:O transfers will work without the DLC? I've got a number of completed DA:O saves but never got Witch Hunt or Awakenings.

So since I went Origins -> transferred Origins character to Awakening -> transferred Awakening character to Witch Hunt it should carry over all the information.
Would there be any adverse consequences to playing Witch Hunt and Golems before completing either Origins or Awakening? I kind of want to use the loot from those in the main game and expansion.

I don't think you can import golems or witch hunt to origins, but shouldn't be an issue importing from golems or witch hunt to awakening? I do know completing them or downloading them unlocked items in awakenings.

They also unlock the same items, with smaller stat bonuses, in Origins. So...yeah.
I guess I just have to play each once for the items, then once again after the campaigns are done. Or something.

I'm not sure that a Golems/Witch Hunt-only save is applicable to DA2. I thought I read that you can't import an Awakening save where you're the Orlesian Warden (i.e. didn't do Origins). Basically you need a save that based itself in Origins at some point.
Further, you definitely can't import through the series out-of-order. You can't go Golems > Awakening > Witch Hunt > Origins. I mean, you can, but you won't be able to track a savegame through them. The bonus items you get for doing them would apply, though.
Well, if there's one thing the modded CC does it sure shows us why they locked it in the demo. There's a couple missing pieces here and there. Bwahahaha... comedy ensues.
This is only the chopped up demo version and I'm already thrilled with the new CC. Subtle changes here and there but I can actually see what the character will look like in-game for once.
Your mum and sister are crazy hot if you pick the black preset.
Then you look at everybody's arms and realise that the demo only mods faces and leaves everything else white
E: Also goddamn forgot I cranked the difficulty and roasted Carver with fireballs and sent Bethany flying with Mind Blast. Game's not dumbed down at all, haha.

What can I say, among the many things I fail at, surprises is one of them.

And if someone is forcing you to buy it, I'd say being held hostage is your more pressing concern.

Looks like it won't be an ME2 situation at all.
Why did your respect for Bioware go down the toilet? I'm not following.
reminds me of miranda lawson.
and the other bit:
right, obviously you lot have been over the whole discussion, i've apparently missed it, i'll drop it.

That's an improvement, imo.

I provide the red hair via the character creator and Varric provides the boobs.
