Yeah, two handed, berserker, and battlemaster (stamina tree) sound like a pretty natural combination. And that's only about 7 active skills to keep track of. Won't be that hard to wrangle on a 360 controller.
Not really. You can hotkey up to 6 abilities, you'd just have to pause for the sustains and other abilities.
Right, that's what I meant. Second wind has the longest cooldown so that could easily be kept out, and berserk is sustained so it only has to be activated once.
hopefully it doesn't so that thing again where it turns itself off after every single encounter
Wasn't that only if you ran out of stamina? Which would happen a lot if you used that final blow move or whatever it was called that drained all your stamina.
no, it always did that

I know Rally shut off during cutscenes all the time.
Companions don't get any specs. They have unique talent trees instead.
Do Bethany and Carver have that too ? I couldnt find any of their unique ones in the demo, but that might have been removed because of spoilers or something.

They haven't said they'll have them later for sure, but they have said that they don't have them early on for "story reasons" which probably means they'll unlock them later on after reaching Kirkwall.

They have standard player character talents at the beginning of the game. Then unique trees later on depending on choices you make.
They are initially there to balance the combat for the player character, which is why the one that survives is always different in class than what the player chooses for Hawke.

I wouldn't be too suprised if it turns out that your siblings unique talent tree unlocks at a plot point.
So just so I know I'm not crazy, was the EA store the only place you could've pre-ordered the Signature Edition in a digital format? I could have sworn I pre-ordered it but now I can't find any confirmation notices and customer service at EA says they can't find any order details for me.

I believe it was yes, the pre-orders on Steam at least didn't go up until after the signature edition offer was over.

By the end of awakenings what's the best armour for warrior and rogue? I think I need to be pretty fantastically geared up to do the harvester on hard with a warrior MC.
I imagine the sentinel armour you get in the fade is one of them but I can't think of any others.

Sentinel and the Kal Hirol armor are the top sets I think.
You can cobble together something that's comparable to these with some of the standalone pieces, the Clamshell Armor, Fleet Feet, etc.
I think the Felon's Coat from Origins is still pretty much the best rogue armor.
Man, I think I'm never going to run a warrior if I can help it. Rogues and Mages just have too many awesome talents and we haven't even see their specializations yet. Warriors just don't have most of the cool talents except maybe in their specializations.
I'm the opposite. :P Actually considering a warrior hawke, fenris, avaline, and varric run.
Also excited that they finally came out and said "Yes your companions will leave you". Awesome
Wait, how is that based off of? I thought I heard it's not based off the same way it was in Origins where if they're disapproval was low enough they would, since that's a new friend and rival mechanic.
All staffs have a blade at the other end, as mages do melee up close now, but the one specific to the trailer is the Staff of parthalan (get it at that link)

In the current q&a he said, in two different instances, that party members will indeed leave you if you get too crazy for them. He refereed to a rivalry with a companion as being potentially rewarding, but you are still playing with fire.
Erk, that's a bit disappointing. I mean I prefer it if it's based off of certain choices like some cases in Origins (e.g. Andraste bit).
It is, but in this case its probably going to be more about two followers coming in conflict with each other. Fenris kinda hate mages for instance, and Anders is an abomination who hates people who hate mages. I wouldn't suggest having them in your party at the same time.

I know there's one particular combination with mage where it looks like your eyeballs are bursting out of your head.
But man was that spec awesome.
Although please give me the option to keep the flaming sword

Also, does every character get to pick 2 specializations or just Hawke?

They dove right into the spoilers, so I had to cover my ears and run. I dunno what I was expecting, really.
I'm going to wait the next two days out and try to play the game without finding out too much of what happens.
edit: And it was really good to see that fight. Even on normal it was far more difficult looking than anything we have seen yet

Wait, the potion cooldown was party wide? Along with the completely rediculous basic heal cooldown? Bioware really hates non-mages.
