Archie comics "Sonic the Hedgehog" thread.

I haven't seen a thread for this series here, so I thought it'd make one.

As it says, this is a thread for talking about Archie comics surprisingly excellent Sonic the hedgehog comics. Basically a series that takes elements from both the games and the old SatAM show and mixes them into a single universe.

There are currently two ongoing series for this universe. Sonic the hedehog, and Sonic Universe.
The first is about the adventures of the hodgehog in question (along with back up stores that take place in a future setting where Sonic is king of Mobius), and the second is an anthology series featuring the various members of Sonic's cast.

I know there are some collections of the SONIC series, but I haven't been able to find any of UNIVERSE 9which is sad because universe is seperate in 4 issue arcs, making it perfect for trades).

I think the Sonic comics are the only thing that seem more intimidating to get into, than X-Men comics. The universe just seems so weird and convoluted. Probably doesn't help that the last Sonic game I played, was on the Sega Genesis.

That said, Ian Flynn used to post on the Something Awful forums, and always seemed like a cool guy. So when that Mega Man comic he's writing starts coming out, I'll probably read it.

Back in the day when I was a young Sonic fanatic, I bought tons of Sonic comics. It might be safe to say Sonic got me interested in comics to begin with. I think I still have issue #1 in my room somewhere.

this is true for me as well.

I actually have, I think, #0-150 still at my parent's house. With all of the specials of course

So.....any idea what this is all about?

It's the buildup to some big new story in 226 called Genesis. Right now it looks like some take on the first game. Plus it seems someone will die in 225.
