I was digging through the plugins and I found craftbook again.

Farm Master isn't updated which is depressing.

Then I found iGrow which lets moss grow on cobblestone like it's supposed to. Supposedly it's supposed to.

I have no idea how many plugins that Ultimak is working with though, and the answer is a lot, and it all depends on if Bill is happy with these but I want these three.

I had a question since I haven't really played with all the new things. If I fish in water that I can clearly see nothing will it catch me a squid? I figure it would catch a fish but curious about the squid.

Squids are a mob, like cows. Fish are not.

Squids are at the bottom of the sea (deep water) and you can hear them because they sound like someone is walking on dirt. You can also see them, if you have f3 opened up cause you'll see a cluster of numbers in the water.

Of the plugins that nuka posted i can definitely implement gastronomic and it can be on a per-person level, so if you dont want the extra level of realism then you dont have to have it. igrow seems to be broken currently and plantspreader wont be updating because the plugin author doesnt have the time.

Edit:Turns out gastronomics doesnt work the way i thought it did. its an all or nothing approach it seems.

Im not going to force anyone to use it, unless i can find a solution to the all or nothing problem im not going to put it in. I will however be putting in some general commands, so people will be able to use things like /who as well as /getpos and /rules and /motd.

edit: eeeeeeeeh, not a huge fan of /command stuff. Hamfisted way to add functionality to the game. Works fine for server-command type stuff, but actual gameplay elements need a little something more.

If we want people to be able to access the rules in-game or be able to see a message when they join or see who else is on when they are we dont have a choice. If there was another more organic way to integrate those elements into the game i would do it, but so far there isnt.

edit: To clarify we will never add a command or plugin that affects survival in a negative way. That means we wont have warps or homes. we wont have sign elevators or anything that makes movement easier.

I was talking specifically about the /hunger thing. /whos and messages of the day and what not are perfect for slashy-commands.

Oh we are, and sorry, Im kind of holding up getting it back to you all because ive got make sure it doesnt conflist with anything else. Im hoping that i have everything done by tomorrow and we can get permissions up and running on the server. Im close to done right now, just have to add permissions to the various groups and run it by Nuka. Server shouldnt have to be down long when bill puts up bukkit and ive made sure everyone will be the correct group when it goes up. Some of you may be promoted to Mod and you will get a PM explaining what you can do and how you can do it.

@sarukun: ah ok. gastromonics is actually pretty organic in how it does its thing. pops up a message every time you hit a hunger point saying what your character feels. then when you start starving it yells at you in red to eat anything! but yeah for finding out how much hunger your at or how much food heals hunger is still all managed by /command, though you can prevent players from accessing those commands so they are just left with vague messages about how hungry they are.

Oh we will most definitely have it, i actually have the core minecart mania running when i test to make sure the other plugins dont interfere with it.

I suppose it's an extension of the whole survival aspect
